I've been vaping since Nov 13th, 2009. Quite smoking the same day I got my PV without any relapses. Just recently, last couple of weeks, I've been having huge cravings for a real cig. I don't wish to smoke a real cig, I'm sure they will taste like crap, and my wife would most likely kill me, or leave me, she threatened that once.

The Snus is interesting. I was able to get some tins of General at the tobacco shop here in town. The Original is very interesting, I'm really starting to like it. The Mini Mints are very cool also. I'm not digging the Wintergreen though. I'll give it another try in a few days. I've got a few cans on order from getsnus for some variety, and so I don't have to pay 5:50 a tin.

I'm still having cravings for a real cig though.

Was wondering if Snuff would help me with those cravings, and if so, what would be a respectable beginners type of snuff?

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you much,

Was in your position a month ago - snuff really does kill cravings better than vaping.

Get some McChrystals O&G (best menthol IMO), Toque Original, Toque Blueberry Menthol, and Dholakia Swiss Choc. These are medium nic, fine-medium grind snuffs that have nice flavors. If you want a stronger nic hit look into F&T High Dry Toast and Wilsons of Sharrow #22 - read the reviews here and at snuffreviews.com.

    Somewhere between here and there
I got some wilsons of sharrow irish d.h. toast #20 and some gold label on my last order that were really good. A couple of my first ones that I liked were swisher honey bee and swisher square. The honey bee is sweet and the square has a smokey scent/flavor to it. I still like both very much and you get a pretty large amount for not alot of money.

I would suggest buying several of the very small tins, it is cheap and you can try many different scents. One thing I have noticed is snuff I loved when I first started is not always on my list of favorites now that I been snuffing a few months.
Wilson's of Sharrow and Toque and McCrystals all sell small tins.

Mr Snuff is having a sale on Toque snuffs right now and Nicotine Rush is still having a sell all sale I think.

Put my order in last Wed or Thurs from Mrsnuff, got it today. Ordered several flavors of the Toque stuffs. Tried the Rasberry Menthol about ten minutes ago. It's a very interesting feeling, kinda like my brain flash fried in my head, then leaked out my eyes. I think I sniffed a little harder than I needed to. Will take some practice to get the technique done.

I don't see this as a all the time kind of thing, but it looks like it will kick the rougher nic cravings in the .....

    Thanks for the advice.

Jeremy, sounds like your story is exactly what I went through this past year. It's a good sign that you are starting to enjoy General original, which opens you up to many other snus options that are similar.

I did the same thing with the wintergreen at first. Tried a few pouches, didn't really care for em...I spent a month or two using general original, and general mini mints, and then I decided to go back to the can of general wintergreen......and it was bliss!!! General Wintergreen is amazing to me now.

However, I am more of a snuffer than a snusser. A few snuffs that can ease you into the snuff world might be: Toque Quit, McCystals S'Nuff, Toque Pomegranage....really any of the Toque products would be nice so start with, except the Lime Toast, which is a bit rough on a beginners nose. Wilsons of Sharrow also has a huge line of snuffs that is worth exploring.

I'd suggest looking around SnuffReviews.com [BETA] and look at the reviews of different snuffs you might want to purchase.
