Hi All, thanks for having me on here, have been reading the stickys but still unsure. I have been using a tornado v5 and this is my first and have been using for three months. We have been buying the atomisers from the the shop wich sold me the ecig but i cant always get there so have been trying to get them elsewhere (and maybe cheaper) but so far no one else does them. Its a 1.8ohm. Ive looked on ebay but im totally confused as none look the same. TIA

Welcome.

If you want to make a jump ahead, look for a rebuildable.
The simplest rebuildable is an rda.

With a rebuildable you can buy a roll of kanthal (I recommend 30 gauge kanthal as an all purpose size), and wrap your own coil instead of having to looking for replacement atomizer heads.

Welcome to ECF, AMG...

The problem with "store brand" personal vaporizer products and new vapists... is that they purposely avoid telling you specifics about their products, and that actually they are the common products that most everyone sells. Without this knowledge, you feel a bit trapped into buying the same product from the same supplier... sort of a forced brand loyalty.

These products are often made by a Chinese manufacturer/distributor at the lowest possible wholesale price, and resold to you, the unsuspecting new vapist as top shelf, premium products... with a substantial profit margin to the retailer.

What you have is a very basic eGo/510 threaded battery and matching eGo threaded, plastic tank clearomizer with a net resistance of 1.8Ω... with this - Ω - being the symbol for "Ohms". Ohm's being the standard value representing the electrical resistance of the coil wires used in the replaceable coil head assembly.
The resistance value, for your purposes, represents how much "power" will be required to energize the coil wires that heat and vaporize your e-liquid. Low power battery devices will make the most of resistance values 1.8Ω or higher... while inversely, lower resistance values will require higher current outputs.

All you need is an eGo threaded clearomizer, made by well respected companies like Kanger, Innokin or Aspire... along with matching replacement coil head assemblies.

I would agree with edyle... if you intend to delve into the mechanics and basic electrical theory knowledge required to be a successful rebuilder/advanced vapist.
If that's not the case, and you prefer the simplicity of the devices you have, then look at the links I've provided and purchase name brand clearomizers, batteries etc etc... that are similar to your current equipment.

to ecf MrsAMG. Nice to meet you and so glad that you are here. Don't mind asking any questions here because there are always some wonderful people here that want to help you any way they can.

I agree with all that has been said. When I first began I was enjoyed the savings I found through Fasttech.com. Even though it takes many weeks to get to me, I still needed the extra savings and did not mind at all. I have been purchasing from the for a year and half and have been very pleased.

I hope one of the suggestions helps. Good luck to you and make yourself at home. It's a wonderful place to be. :)

hello MrsAMG, welcome to ECF world :toast:

lots of good advice so far...

didn’t know what a tornado v5 was, so I looked it up
looks like just an EGO battery (510/ego threads)
with a simple plastic clearomizer tank on it…
- http://totallywicked-eliquid.com/im...cc/tornado-v5-switch-(page-picture-large).jpg
- http://www.totallywicked-eliquid.co...ages/power-units/tornado-t-batteries-1000.jpg

if you just want to continue using that style of set up
until you’re ready to take the next step all you need to do
is order new cheap tanks that are common and just
screw them on your current battery...

couple choices – dual coil or single coil // plastic or glass // price

- Kanger Evod Clearomizers
- Smoktech ARO, GBC, EBC, PBC, RBC
- http://i00.i.aliimg.com/img/pb/243/261/951/951261243_535.jpg
- Aspire Products - Aspire ETS & K1 Clearomizers - DiscountVapers.com
- Kanger ProTank & Evod Coil Replacement **5 Pack - 1.8ohms

- Bottom Coil Tanks - Tanks & Clearomizers - Atomizers & Cartomizers

maybe even grab another battery that is adjustable
- Twist Batteries - Smoktech Emax & Winder Variable Voltage - DiscountVapers.com
- Kanger Evod Twists

so a few things to check out,
if anything here's a list where you can look through and see some stuff at a good price

keep asking so we can help
:)
