I'm new to this forum too, been vaping 2 months. Question, have you noticed a preference between the short wick clearomizers and long wick clearomizers? And do the CC Ego Clearomizers really have that much of an effect on burning and taste?

Not really. I think the the longer wicks are supposed to wick the liquid better, with less tipping, but I haven't noticed that much of a difference. A PBusardo Rant & Review - Vision eGo Clearomizer V3 (long wick) - SnG Vapor - YouTube

Hilarious video from the start, REALLY good info tho. In a nutshell, long wicks are great for movement as the swishing wicks the liquid, but in a remote setting it has a tendency to dry out. I've found that avoiding that dry burnt taste is really behavioral (keeping your wick wet and not touching the coil, mixing your liquids right, and occasional some minor maintenance). Thanks again Ocelot, I have to agree with a previous poster, I'm impressed with how friendly and helpful this forum is... cheers:)

I so have wick envy! I use CE4 clearos quite a bit to try out flavors I've dripped and liked, but not sure I want to commit a tank to. No matter the wick length, I've found that if I only fill them 2/3 of the way, then roll up a piece of paper towel and slide it up the bottom hole to blot excess juice, I don't have leaking problems. Sometime I have to blot it again if I've tipped too vigorously, but it works well for me.

Thanks for the tip, I guess I'll prolly just have to buy a few (I really wanted them so I could distinguish the diff between my attys for flavor and life) but I have read good reviews and the idea made a lot of sense to me. I think I might even try one with the LED's, I'm a sucker for bright and shiny stuff :p

I've looked at the led ones too, on my 1000mAh Twist I thought it would complete my Princess Leia outfit, but I've been told that the light doesn't last very long; besides, I'm waiting for one that makes a whooshing sound too.

Oddly enough, the "Sunrise" CE4s (Stardust clones) I got from ECBlend have worked better that the name brand (Vision eGo/rebranded Stardust by gotvapes), although that could by the batch I got. Smoke Revolt has the CE4 clones on sale for $2.99. I haven't tried them, but for the price I'm thinking of getting a couple to see what they're like.

ETA: To answer your original question about the CE5s, I don't bother with rebuildables. I use the CE4s, rinsing them periodically under the faucet and throwing them on a paper towel to dry. I don't dry burn anything. I usually get several tankfuls out of them and throw them away when they're dead. I don't like to fiddle with stuff, but if I have to, I use mini vivi novas.

I hope I did that right...
Thanks for the positive words, too!

I HAD A BREAKTHROUGH!! I found a word when I unscrewed the battery. It says "Riva."

Is that a decent one? What parts/accessories will fit on it?

I doubt the coughing has anything to do with the kit. looks solid enough. Try drinking water right before you vape and pull into your mouth then inhale slowly. Always stay hydrated.

Best way to confirm that it's a 510 is buy an atomizer and drip tip from someplace that has free shipping and try it out. If it doesn't fit for some reason you could swap it on the forum for juice or something. Or buy a separate 510 batt to use with the atomizer for testing juices.

Just a thought, as someone who has recently exclusively moved over to vaping, instead of the constant back and forth with smoking along with vaping don't kill yourself if you end up having a cigarette. It takes time to adjust, just don't give up. At the begining count the amount of cigarettes you skip by vaping. Cut the cravings until you fully adjusted by having 2 cigs max a day and get yourself a stable setup.

Me myself i started with the ego t's and moved up (spent alot of money) so I was satisfied figuring out what works best for me. I think for someone with cravings having trouble adjusting move to 24mg juice, get some boge or smoktech cartomizers from surevapes (cheap), and pickup a VV MOD such as the evic. Don't mess around with cheap batteries you end up spending more in the end. Just a hint, don't use tobacco flavored juice, they will never recreate tobacco flavors and tbo taste disgusting imho. Start with a simple fruit flavor. Just a couple of thoughts. Ppl may disagree, but take the argument of mods being for more experienced vapors with a grain of salt its only a battery.

Thanks! The cig cravings have definitely gone WAY down. I'm down to maybe 3-5 a day which is way less than what I was at. I figure that's a good start till I can get order some different juice. :toast:

GJ on your curb of cigs.

Thanks!! NOw, if I can just convince my wife that 4-5 a day is better than 1 to 1.5 packs a day... She seems to think it's easy and that I should just totally quit. And I should, but I need a higher level of nicotine in my juice and I just haven't had the time to get any yet.

Hey there, I'm John and I've been vaping for about a month now. I haven't totally quit the cigarettes yet and I think that's due the nicotine content not being high enough in my e-liquid - but I'm not sure. As a new vaper... I have a couple of questions. (And maybe this will get me to the 5 post requirement... LOL!)

I've see a lot and I mean a LOT of e-cigs online. I bought mine at a local place that sells a brand called V~ivo kit. I wanted to support my local shop so I bought their starter kit and a couple of bottle of juice that is supposed to be closest to the Marlboro Special Blend Lights that I smoke. My question is this: With all the ads and such that I've seen online for e-cigs, I have yet to see ONE for this brand except on the V~ivo compnay website - of you can call it that. Are they a decent e-cig? Anyone?

Secondly, would the reason I'm still craving cigs is that the nicotine level in my juice mixture isn't high enough? I actually don't remember the exact mixture but I think it's 16% or so. I"m thinking 18% would be good? Any ideas?

And one more thing.... does anyone else cough a lot on the first couple of drags (after you haven't had one for while?) I never did that with cigarettes. Only with the e-cig.

Anyway - hello and thanks for reading!!! I'm looking forward to spending time on this board - and to your answers.

I'm guessing the coughing is down to the propylene glycol e liquid you are usin. Get some "vegetable glycerine" e liquid. VG for short
