Hi all I'm Amy and I replaced cigarettes 3 weeks ago and I'm loving it! I was diagnosed with renal cancer in April and have been trying to quit and of course failed. I tried Blu and some others then bought a vapor set that leaked after a few days so the store I bought it from replaced it and that was no better. A coworker had a set from Vapor Shark and let me try it and then sold it to me when she upgraded to glass/variable. I was using it half the time and had another health scare and said screw it and haven't looked back. My husband and many friends still smoke but he is going to try this when he runs out of cigarettes and here is something a lot of you will find very interesting- I showed everything to my oncologist and he approves! I've tried many flavored and am currently going between Nurdz Menthol and Candy Cane Menthol but I would like something sweet dessert like so if anyone has any recommendations for me and suggestions in the S Fl area or online I'd love to hear them! I am using a glass clearomizer with an 1100 battery.

Big congrats Amy!!
And welcome to ECF! Im always stoked about more and more people making the healthy switch. Im sorry to hear about your physical condition. I know it is esp hard to quit given these circumstances. Believe me, i just had a benign tumour show up on an MRI a few months back and they are feeding me all these meds along with target injections. This just tempts me to reach for that analog sometimes. I cant imagine what you would be enduring. I wish you good health and a speedy recovery!

Yeah, stay away from the small cig a likes. I started with those and bounced RIGHT back to analogs and drugs. Just learned that some models heated nickel into your lungs so that aint good!
You like dessert just like me. Well i enjoy stuff from Tasty Vapors so far, but its located in northern Cali though. I recommend the lemon poundcake. I LOVE the flavour and its helped me through nausea big time from my treatments so i can keep working. Many more dessert flavours on their website. But you need to steep it though since they mix it on the spot. I checked the price and its slightly lower than all the other notable hand made organic places. You cant beat their weekly sales!

Again a big welcome from southern Cali and congrats!

Welcome Amy1215 to the ECF neighborhood,
Congrats on replacing the cigs with a healthier option. Hope the hubby goes ahead and gets on the "vape ride'' with you,...it does help. Sounds like your oncologist is more "informed" than others, that tend to think with their ($$$$), IMHO. Sorry to hear that all the options did not work, but very glad that vaping lead you to the ECF family.
Do not have any S Fl recomendations, but someone else in the neighborhood is sure to chip in, probably before I finish "thick fingering' this post.

Good for you. Be sure to keep some higher nicotine ejuice around, at least 24mg for any big cig cravings you may have in the next few weeks and consider getting a back up, and maybe even a backup for your backup. Slip-ups occur mainly because nicotine mg count isn't high enough, or we miss the convenience of our nicotine delivery because of device malfunction/don't understand how to properly use our device. Also realize that tobacco has natural MAOIs which act like an antidepressant, and some of us find it a little more difficult to let go of cigarettes because of this. There may very well be a little bit of a "withdrawal" period, so be ready, but not even close to as bad as cold turkey. And stay hydrated as you begin vaping, it can dry you out in the beginning.

Triggers can hit you out of nowhere until you get out of that past ritual, but as long as you vape some higher mg juice that will surely pass almost instantly. My triggers were always after I finished doing a hard project, or I suddenly found myself with nothing to do, I'd occasionally get the sudden urge to go outside to my old smoking spot and then a stronger urge would come to get a quick fix of a cigarette. My legs would honestly just start taking me there automatically before i realized where i was going lol was pretty funny. Once I upped my nicotine mg count I no longer had that issue, and now i'm down from chain-vaping 36/24mg all the way down to around 8mg nowadays, in as little as 3 months (when I finally found out about RDAs and found the equipment that works for me). (Was a 1 1/2 pack a day marb red smoker for 11 years)

So have fun! Wish you luck and remember if it doesn't work out, for you or your hubby, there are so many options out there to get a much greater vape for cheap, but your current model may very well be a viable option (just research pricing. it looks like a the Vapor Shark is like an Ego with a protank, or vivi nova type set up from what i see) make sure to look around and make sure you're not being overcharged and eventually build your own coils! You'll save tons of money, it's super easy. :)

A youtuber that helped me out a lot in the past was Pbusardo. Cool guy, runs a nice youtube channel and website TasteYourJuice.com

For juice I enjoy Forest Fruit from deejstuff right now, but that's just a flavourart flavor so i'm sure it's all over the place. It tastes like crunchberries cereal to me :) really good.

And Tasty Vapor is a trusted vendor by many so i'll second that one.

Pm me anytime if you have any questions about anything, and we're all here for you.
