Thanks for following my thread all...

I had a BAD day today. I had some carts and juice delivered and really wasted my money. Cappucino...uugghhh, yuk. Grim. Tobacco "Reds" also, terrible.

I wonder if my early experience with sweet flavours - Vanilla and Cherry, is making me hate the dry flavours?

Can you wash out a cart and refill it with something tasty?

KuroCz - thanks for all that info and making the post. The Ruyan document looks reallt interesting.....I'll read it.

No cravings today, but unpleasant vaping......

going back to 1/2 tobacco/1/2 vanilla or cherry tomorrow.

I know it's only £12 ($20) but I now have 10 carts which I'll need to either throw or use to then refill.

Still looking at the links (thanks guys) for bigger and better equipment.

(Chrissie, if I don't need any carts with the RIVA, I have plenty of juice!)

You can wash out the cartomizers. I use some grain alcohol (Everclear) in a jar with a lid to soak the carts overnight then take them out of the jar and stick some pieces of paper towel in the open end pressed against the filler to wick the alcohol out (takes about 12hrs) then once they are dry fill them up again with whatever you want.

Some people use high proof vodka to soak carts but it takes longer to dry them out because of the higher water content.

edit: DO NOT USE DENATURED ALCOHOL!!!

Dj, are you talking about cartridges or cartomisers? Post a link to what you have bought.

If you do go for the Riva kit, here is a pic showing what you get with it - I forgot to label the cone though, it's the bit below the batteries & is used with the cartomisers to mainly make the Riva look smoother :)

Cartomisers. I bought two packs of 5 hoping to fill them with e-liquid (which I like) after I used them, but I'd need to use them first and they are not good.

I got these.

5 pack of Cappuccino V3 cartomisers - Cartomisers/Tanks by JAC Vapour Ltd

the plan was to use my nice liquids up before going for the full riva kit.

If money was no object, I'd just bin them, use up the nice ones and then consign the whole kit to spare.

Those are KR808D cartomisers. You should be able to fill them with any e-liquid of your choice. You should also be able to use them on the Riva with a 510-808/901 adapter.

When you say they are not good, do you mean the flavour or the vapour or throat hit?

The flavour. What's odd is that even the even the new Vanilla carts taste horrible, and I like the Vanilla liquid. Is it possible brand new carts (with prefilled liquid) could taste different to a cart that's been used a few times/topped up?

Like, chemical-ly tasting.... can't really explain it. I guess the only way to tell is vape a cart until empty (e.g. the cappucino) then top it up with liquid and see if it's the juice or something about new carts with new filler.

You could also try washing one by running it under a tap, blowing through & then letting it dry before adding e-liquid.

I just washed out a new dodgy tobacco flavoured cart by removing the polyfill. Couldn't get it back it!!

I'll try another one tomorrow leaving the filler in and leave it on a paper towel overnight.

You know you said you weren't keen on some flavours? do you think people lean towards sweet or fruity or tobacco or ???

Jacvapour do a "Desert Ship" (tobacco) which is fabulous and the "Virginia" mixed with Vanilla or Cherry is great....

yep, not a good idea to try & take out the wadding & restuff it in cartomisers :)

It really is so difficult to recommend flavours, or even types of flavour as everyone's taste is different. But it may help you to check out genuine reviews of UK juice suppliers from the members of AAE-C Uk -
