Hello fellow vapors!

I will start with just a little about myself...I threw down the Marlboros (after 23 years of a 2pad habit) on April 25th when I received my V2 kit. Now I know not a lot of people here like the V2 but hey, I am 5 months analog free thanks to them so I will never have anything but good things to say about V2.

Ok so here's why I ventured here....I am wanting to get a vv unit. I know the ProVari is the "end all" in vv's but I want to start small and see if I even like them. I was thinking of the new vv kgo. Any suggestions on this?

Thanks! :)

not sure on the longevity of the vv kgo as i know the ego twist seem to not last long at all from what i have read. i know they are different models and all but the price points still scare me.... i would say if size is also a issue along with the price point get a mini vv mod. many places carry them for under $80 as a kit and they offer the full 3.0-6.0volt range with swap able batteries that run ~$10. if the battery goes you pitch it and get some more.

I am scared of the mods for some reason, lol. I just want to keep it simple at 1st. That's why I was thinking I would go this route. If I break it or dislike it I won't be out of a lot of money. If I do really like it then I will go bigger next time. I wasted quite a bit of money on an egoT kit and hated the darned thing. It's laying in the junk drawer right now

Welcome to the board :D

If you're in the market I noticed a thread posted earlier this morning that may be of some interest to you, lost the link to the thread but it pointed to a deal Ahlusion had for a Ego Twist starter kit for $45 I've since seen it posted on Reddit and heard it was posted by Pbusardo on his site as well, it's currently sold out but the page claims they have another shipment on the way. It was also noted in the thread here at ECF that Ahlusion has free shipping at $50, so add $5 and you even get free shipping

I haven't used the Twist myself but I've heard really good things

Thanks for the speedy reply and welcome! I had considered the Twist but I really like the digital display on the new kgo.

No problem. I just mentioned the Twist because that's what I use. If you want to try the kgo, then that's ok too. I just never used one. This whole vaping world has to do with finding out what works best for you. One person my love the Twist, one person may love the kgo. It all boils down to what you want to use.

absolutely, what ever works best for is what matters, i have tried the twist and wasnt all that much wowed, but it was unfair as i had already been using a lavatube for about 9 months prior. what i was disappointed by was the lack of voltage options to some vv vapers that + or - .1 mattes. as far as the kgo i have also had no experience, and havent read much on it so im not sure on its performance or features.

Yeah all I really know is it is 3.0 -6.0 with .1 increments. It is sleek looking with a digital display and no knob on the bottom to get twisted on accident. I know it won't be as good as many out there but just looking for a "jumping in" point.

sounds like you are already set on it. time to jump in and try out VV vaping. GL with your next step

Ok so one more question...I don't really totally understand the charts so what ohm carto would I need to vape at arount 4.5 volts?

i would stick with a nice mid range ohm carto 2.4-2.6 ohm as im sure that is a 2.5amp limit on the kgo. the bigger devices is where the amp limit goes higher and low ohms can be used at higher voltage
