Thanks vicsan

Alright i need alittle help. you mention to throw a carto and a tank on it. I guess i have not seen that and I am wondering if somebody could give me a little direction on this please.

JW

Here's the carto/tank. Tube Tank
The tank is filled with your juice (3ml or 5ml) , the carto inside the tank absorbs the liquid and lets you vape for hours at a time before having to refill.

Here's the cartos that slide into the tank...note the little hole punched in the carto...that's how the liquid gets into the carto from the tank: Tube Tank - Refill Cartomizer

Here's a video showing how to fill the tank: Lavatube eCig Tube Tank Filling How to fill basics of Lavatube tubetank filling - YouTube

I just want to add: If you get the Volcano tank with the flanged cartos, make sure the flanged end is on the correct end of the tank...there IS a difference. On one end of the tank there's an indentation for the carto flange. The flange fits in that indentation to stop it from spinning on the carto. When seated correctly, you can easily screw the tank onto the Lava Tube without it spinning around on you.

Hope this helps! Best of luck to you!

on edit: Be SURE to prefill your carto with juice before putting it in your tank. That facilitates the wicking action while in the tank Also, after you fill the carto with juice (slowly drop liquid until it drips from the threaded end of the carto AVOIDING the center hole..drip down the side of the stainless steel wall), and put it on the Lava Tube, put your finger over the battery end hole and take some puffs to get the flow going into the carto from the tank. Then screw it on your Lava Tube. It usually takes a tankful to get a really good flow going into the carto, but once it does...it's a fantastic vape.

2nd edit: Here's my favorite review of the Lava Tube: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_SqGT0XPMv8

If your wife is getting one, the red is a really pretty color! This video explains everything you need to know about how to use/operate the Lava Tube and SteelJan is fun to watch. She's a GREAT reviewer of ecigs.

Also, on the cartos above: make sure you get the 3.0 ohms so you can take the voltage of the Lava Tube up to 6 volts IF you want to. That makes the LT more versatile. Lower ohm cartos would not let you go that high to vape. Personally, I find 4.2v-4.5v high enough for me, but you may like 5v or higher and the 3.0 ohm carto lets you go that high.

Make sure you pick up some Drip Tips. You'll want "510" drip tips that will fit in the carto.

;) Vicsan,

We have a winner. that is exactly what I needed, I have been looking at all this gear and could not put it together in my mind.

That was an excellant presentation except for Steeljan video was the same as the guy above.

Thank you,

JW

I'm glad I could help...just payin' it forward because I was where you were just nine months ago. :) Enjoy your new toy! I love mine.

I will be tonight, wife said the gear showed up today. I have been checking out some vid's

Why you have a good tip?

JW

You can use the condom method: take one of the silicone condoms that comes on the carto and fill it about 2/3 full, put the battery end of the carto in it and let it absorb from the bottom until all the juice in the condom is gone. Or, just drip down the side of the carto, avoiding the center hole. Drip slowly letting the liquid absorb into the fiber. I let them sit for about 20 minutes just to make sure it's absorbed well.

SF may have other methods. :)

You can also use a blunt syringe, if you have one.

I'm also leaning toward a KGO kit right now. I'm thinking of trying that and maybe one of those tanks go around the cartos. It appears that KGO with low resistance cartos does a good job and lasts a lot. Is that truly true? What is an argument against it?

I use a KGO with Boge 510 LR cartos and I don't have anything bad to say about the setup. An Ego-type device is your natural next step in devices, and within that group the KGO has long battery life and more voltage than a stock Ego (for a warmer more billowy vape).

I've only got the Ego-T system and some generic Ego cartos to compare to the Boges, but the Boges are miles ahead of both IMO.

You'll have good luck with your v2 kit, but getting a KGO (or Riva, although I don't know those personally) will be nice for that battery life issue. 1100mah lasts a good long time. And I agree you should pick up a 510 adapter.
