Newbie cant post? What is wrong?

Noobs have to post 5 times in the new members forum and wait for a system update before they can stray into other areas.

You don't have to post in that thread that says to post 5 times. You just have to contribute 5 non-spam posts to any thread/topic (or start a new one) in the New Members Sub-Forum. You've got one now, just four more!

I think he misunderstood. Maybe he thought he was supposed to post into the "New Members" thread which lists rules and such. It's a locked sticky. The New Members area is something completely different.
Some people get into the New Members Information sub and don't realize there is a whole huge New Members Forum under it with half a bajillion threads to post in.
ah this actually cleared my confusion as well. i reached my 5 posts but wasn't able to post in the canadian section.
