So I read a lot about e-cigs and thought I would finally take the plunge. I ordered a DSE901 "try-it" kit from Arlo, as many members on this forum had suggested before.

The first vape puff was awesome. I loved the feeling and was happy I could finally quit smoking analogs (8-10 analogs a day). I even got 5 carts included in the kit but I have a feeling they died out too soon. I ordered some e-juice and tried refilling the carts but somehow, the experience is not the same. I have a feeling it has something to do with the batteries and/or the atomizer. It got to a point (in the first week itself) where I was having to charge the batteries every 8-10 puffs and I still couldn't get the "hit" I was looking for. So I just ordered a new battery and atomizer. Let us see if that works out well. In the end, I gotta say I did not like the experience.

Do you guys know if there is one e-cig in the market now that is refillable, gives out some great, thick vapes and with a battery life that doesn't suck? I thought the 901 was all that I am expecting, turns out it simply isn't.

There is either something wrong with your battery or your charger. The charge should last you way longer then just 8-10 puffs.

Also, blow out your atty, from the open end and see if perhaps it is flooded. Do it over a tissue or paper towel. If you do get a lot of fluid coming out, you may want to blow until it is clear, then stand the atty up, thread side down on the tissue and let it drain over night, then try it again.

Is it an automatic battery or a manuel battery?

Thanks Cart.

@Col. I will try what you said. It is an automatic PV.

If you had a manual battery you would be able to hit the button, and with the cart off see if the atty gets cherry red. I personally prefer manual batteries because instead of the automatic starting to warm the atomizer when you start to vape, because it works by a pressure switch, a manual will start to heat the atty when you press the button, so when you start to vape, it will be on already warm atty and you will get better results, in my opinion.

you might try cartomizers--although they're threaded for the 901, though, i think you need an adapter or a KR808 battery. they last longer than cartridges, and hit better (imo) as far as being warmer. there is a bit of a learning curve to get the kind of draw you want to produce a lot of vapor, but they can definitely produce.

Looks like my bad luck with e-cigs continues. I got a spare battery and atty recently for my Dse901. Whenever I use the new battery, I get a strong metallic taste. And both my atty's (both old and new) stopped working unusually quickly. And I had to go back to analogs again. It sucks.

I have my eyes on 2-piece models now, like the kr808 (because I can still use the one good 901 battery and the usb charger with a kr808). Any suggestions?
