I got the Ego-T 4 days ago and haven't smoked a cigarette since.. it's great. But it's also not perfect- half of my hits feel weak and airy. I hope "weak and airy" is good enough to describe what I'm experiencing.. but it's a kind of non-flavory, dry, burn-my-throat kind of crappy hit.. know what I mean? I improved the hit dramatically when I figured out that the grooves on the side of the tank should be aligned with the flat sides of the thing inside the atomizer; I slightly improved the hit by taking out the little "baffle" (for lack of a better word), inside the tank/mouthpiece.

Now a couple of questions- I find I get a fuller more reliable vapor hit when I hold the button down for a second before I inhale.. it sizzles a little when I do this. Is that going to destroy my atomizer?

Second question- what part(s) can I buy to make this thing produce reliable vapor every hit? I did order a drip tip to try for when I'm at my desk.. but I'd really like to beef this thing up somehow without losing the ability to carry it in my pocket all day without dripping.

Thanks for you time and attention. I hope I'm not burning up my atomizers waiting for the sizzle before I inhale.. it really does vastly improve the hit.

If the answer to the second question is "you bought the wrong device to get a good strong vape", tell me that too :)

I know exactly what you mean. I had the same thing happen to me. I don't know if it was equipment error or the way I was vaping. I tend to take long heavy hits.

While I like the tank for a lot of reasons- ease of filling- knowing when I needed more juice-clean cool vape (I'm a menthol vapor). The tweaking and inconsistant vapes got to me. But I'm not a tinkerer if that's a word. I tend to get frustrated quickly.

Someone hopefully will be along to help you with this, and it may be a simple fix.

If you can't take the frustration or can't get it to work the way you want it to- I'd suggest cartomizers. They're easy to use and easy to fill. Not the ease on the tanks but you get a pretty consistant vape with them and go through far less juice as well. My juice usage doubled with the tanks.

Good luck!

All perfect descriptions......Ok first off congrats and your doing really wonderful so far.
The T is notorious for being weak in flavor and lacking in TH. The dry burning is your tank is not wicking well. Try taping the tank to get any air bubbles out and you can also try raising the T in the Atty cradle just a smidge. They do make LR attys for the tank and I believe the flavor is slightly improved. However it just isn't all it's cracked up to be IMHO.

First Q. Yes holding the button for a few seconds helps heat the juice giving you better flavor. Good catch! NO it should not hurt the Atty.
second Q. I highly suggest picking up a pack of Boge 2.0 cartomizers. They hold 1 ml of juice and can be used with a DT for easier refilling. They produce great TH and flavor.

I do want to point out that your so fresh off smokes that it may take several months for your taste buds to fully wake up.

The eGo is a great device! I own 10. Yes back ups are critical! :) and fun too.

Good luck!

Congrats on your purchase and being off analogs.

To help your vaping, I've read (or seen on youtube) that to also help vaping, keep sucking for a second or 2 after you let go of the button. This will help "prime" your atty for the next hit.

I share your pain with respect to the tank lacking that oomph. I've taken to dripping (hang on, I read what you said). I get much better and consistent hits. One thing you may want to add on is the vape mate. Super T Manufacturing, Innovative manufacturer of electronic cigarette products.

That's going to be my next purchase I think. So far though, since I carry a case with me, dripping is fine for now.

That looks pretty interesting.

Thanks for the quick, friendly advice! I ordered a handful of Boge 2 ohm cartomizers, but I don't understand how they're filled? Am I going to need a syringe or do you just drip into them? I hate that I live in such a rural area that I can't see any of these things in an actual store.. online product descriptions seem very lacking in this industry.

Beans: I pulled the tank/tip out about a millimeter and that helped! I can see bubbles rise in the tank after a long hit. I hope it remains a good hit every time.

That super-T thing looks VERY effective.. but also looks like more than I want to carry in my pocket.

No, you don't need a syringe to fill them. They have a rubber end cap and you pop it off. There's filling and a hollow center with a wire (avoid that). Tilt the cartomizer, and drip drip drip juice. When it pools on top, I give it a shake like a thermometer- or polaroid picture (Now I'll gave that song in my head all day ). When it looks like the juice is absorbed, drip more in. Continue until it's full.

I fill up three and when flavor is gone I put on a new one. I find they last longer when I do that as opposed to topping off the same cartomizer all day. At night, I refill them.

I do use a drip tip on cartomizers in case I want to add a few drops of juice, it's super easy.

I just got a "GotVapes Turbine Tankomizer" in the mail (I ordered it trying to solve the problems myself before I came here to ask for help), and the vapor hit is full bodied and un-airy.. but it tastes like plastic! I changed juice to something I've never tried before at the same time, so I don't really know which is the culprit (and this tank is huge so I won't know real soon).

Do new atomizers require a break-in period or does this thing just taste like plastic? I've totally got a headrush from playing with it though, hits like a champ.

Edit: The plastic taste preceded the thing stopping working altogether. It wasn't getting any juice at all.. I reinserted the tank about 3 times before it restarted up.. wonder what's going on with this thing. Anyone use a turbine tankomizer?

Edit again: I found a ton of information on this site about this thing.. sorry I asked before searching. Anyway, I am not getting it to hit for long before it tastes like plastic. Looking forward to those cartomizers coming in.
