OK, I'm a complete newbie at mixing my own juice. I just received my DIY kit. I have just made a 10ml bottle.

My nicotine base is 72mg 7.2% - 92.8% PG

My menthol flavouring (PG) is recommended at 5-10%, I went for 10%.

I wanted to start with a 50-50 mix of PG/VG.

I used an Android calculator is this is what it came up with:

Base nicotine: 1.1 mls
PG: 3.1 mls
VG: 4.8 mls
Flavouring: 1 ml

Have I got this about right?

Thanks for looking :)

Honestly I mix, shake, and vape. No need to let it sit.

In my opinion the absolute BEST android liquid calculator is called "eliquid Recipe Manager Lite" it's free, and like the title says you can save your recipes so once you find your perfect blend you don't need to hope you get it exactly right next time. It has two recipes saved when you install and for most basic recipes you can just use those and just use your flavoring instead of the flavor listed.

Basically the app allows you to add a manifest of your ingredients. So if you have generic 72mg/ml nic you add that in the ingredients and whatever the base is. Then add your flavoring, and it's already got of and vg in it. Then goto create a new recipe, use the sliders to decide what ratio pg/vg you want, strength of nicotine, and the flavor you're using and press calculate. Then it will tell you in ml and also drops to make it easier for adding the flavoring by just counting drops.

Seems close, but a little off. I'll assume (as my calculations are closest at 8mg) 8 was your target.
I think where you got a little turned around was the 72mg juice being 92.8PG..... When your calculating your base, just use 100% if it's PG only base or 100%VG if it's a VG base only.

A good free calculator to use if you have access to a pc is eJuice Me up....
Now it your going for 8MG final strength with 10ml the numbers I got are this
Nic base--- 1.11ml
PG--- 2.89ml
VG-- 5ml
Flavor--- 1ml

looks vapeable. I usually think of recipes in % values. 8% Captain black, 4% cinnamon, 70% VG, 12 mg nic, type thing. or whatever levels one desires. You didn't specify your desired nic level, but looks in the sevenish range :D

50/50 is a good place to start at, but found my true vape at 70-80% VG. Which works great for my recipes. I use 100 mg nic. PG base, and since most flavor extracts are pg based, only a small amount of PG needs to be added when mixing

Yeah, can remember when I first got into DIY juice, made 10 ml test batches, and then 50-100 ml of a good recipe. Now 100 ml is my test batch, and 4-500 ml is proven recipe volumes. In serious need of mixing, frak, down to 3 flavors and under 400 ml total. But must say, the Strawberry Blackapple juice has aged well
