I made the switch to e-cigs a couple years ago and this year switched from KR808D-1 batteries to Kanger Evod and loving the upgrade! A vape store just recently opened up in my neighborhood where I can get juice tailored to my taste and related supplies, no more shipping charges. Looking forward to leaning from more experienced vapers here!

well you could always go to google maps and type in "E Cig" or "Vape Shop" ;)
major cities will have a few results. most are over priced but its a great way to check out new products in person before you go home and buy it online. mall kiosks are the worst and i would refrain from buying anything from unless its the only thing open and your last coil or carto went bad.

i live in Oregon and have a few friends in Vancouver Wa. i was there not too long ago and visited a place called Bubba's vape shop off of 205 and mill plain. nice people and you could sample e-liquid before you bought it. i have mixed my own e-liquid for years and i pretty much only use my RDA for vaping. so i dont really need to buy anything from a vape shop. i just buy my supplies online.

Welcome to ECF. Glad to have you here. Lots of stuff to read and learn. Good to hear that you have a vape shop near you. Best way to help you find a juice to your liking and to see and hold products before you buy them. Have fun!

Thank you. Yeah, great forum for information and already learning a lot. The only problem with having a vape shop near me and being able to see how things work is now I find myself wanting to get into rebuilding the bottom coils for my Evod, haha. Tried to rebuild a few after watching a few videos but success has been marginal, but this vape shop is talking about holding some workshops on the subject so maybe I can learn what I am doing wrong with some hands on teaching.

evod / protank coils can be tricky because of the rubber grommet that holds the coil leads in place. if the leads get too hot it will melt and burn the rubber grommet. the factory coils use a piece of non Resistance wire that does not get hot for the leads AND a length of kanthal is wrapped around the wick for the coil. this requires a non-resistance to resistance wire arc welder. there is some DIY instructions on the web on how to build such an arc welder from a disposable camera. its not the safest thing however, if something goes wrong you could shock your self, burn your house down and or kill your self.

here is a simple, cheap and effective RDA setup http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/fo...cussion/498945-my-build-ego-octopus-mini.html
the parts came from totally wicked USA : around $30
and the wick and wire came from lightning vapes : price depends on how much wick and wire you want
you still need a multi meter / DVOM : around $10-20

OMG, never seen that much vapor, haha! Thanx for the info on the factory heads, I did notice the weld on the wires. With the few rebuilds I did, the base would get really hot after a few vapes and that probably explains it...I should just stick to buying factory heads as cheap as they are from DV, don't need to be blowing things up, haha. Thanx for the link to My Build - The eGo Octopus Mini. Ha, I think that is a little advanced for me right now, but something to consider in the future as my experience builds.

hey no problem and welcome to ECF. that build is meant to provide cheap and decent performance. to replace a coil it cost me like $0.30 lots of people like having around a few bridgeless atomizers for dripping. they run around $5 or so. then there is the HH 375 kinda pricey but i hear they are excellent.
