Hi to all. Long story short, my Dad broke my protank and replaced it with a Davide. Worked great at first, loved it. Changed the coil and now it won't work on any of my batteries. I put in a protank coil and can't seem to find Davide coils in stock. Have I done something wrong?
Second question is what replacement coil did you use?
If you have a ego style battery I would have to bet you center pin got pushed down a little bit too far. Check you tube for ego fix if that's what you have.
The protank or evod coils should work in the davide. Do you have another coil that you can try? Unfortunately sometimes you'll get a dud that just won't work out of the box.
Just as Broncbox said, the ProTank coils will work just fine in your Davide. I own both. I know this works. One other thing that might be happining is the small pin on the bottom of you coil might not be making contact with your battery contact.
What you need to do is stick your finger nail just behind the metal pin, but in front of the rubber bushing (see the picture) and wiggle it as you pull on it ever so slightly. You only need to move it about the thickness of your finger nail. Then put the coil in the base, and the screw just the base onto your battery. If your wicks are still wet you should hear a sizzling if it's working.
Thank you everyone! Moving the pin on the bottom of the coil worked! I third moving the piston shaped piece in the battery but, it didn't want to move, and I didn't want to force it , but adjusting the coil did work. So much to learn!
