Hello everyone!! I am brand new to both this forum and vaping. I was a smoker for 14 years until I was introduced to this new world of vaping, I haven't touched a cigarette since. However, my experience with vaping has been somewhat frustrating. I started with an ego-c kit about 1.5 months ago. The kit came with two ego-c upgrade 650mah batteries, I gave one to my dad(got him off of cigarettes too<whoohooo> the other one stopped working after 4 weeks. After taking it to the vape shop where I bought it they opened it and found that one of the wires had been somehow severed. So, I ordered a Smok 1300mah winder battery. After a day or two it started acting weird. The fire button would stay on while charging and the battery started dying a few hours after an over night charge shortly later. Now the light on my charger now longer stays green or red, before or after charging. This has become extremely frustrating and has almost driven me back to smoking since it is so much easier and at this point cheaper to just go and pick up a pack of cancer sticks. Has anyone had similar issues? Ive been using a protank 2 with the smok winder1300

Hi buddy, welcome to ECF

man I feel your pain it really sux when you think your on your way and
you have equipment failure !!

if your lucky enuff to have a little dough, I suggest to get a couple good quality batteries
(just read some bad stories about well, just like you said)
Vision and Kanger have the top of the line batteries out now

get a couple of these - Vision Spinner - 1300mah - Stainless

then a couple of these - Kanger eVod bottom coil clearomizer - Black

that is about as dependable & simple as there is out there AND if you want to step it up a notch
down the road, it will make a very nice 'back up'

buying the stuff separate will cost more, so, if you don't want to spend as much there is always this route :

- Kanger eVod Kit - Blue
- Kanger EVOD Kit

Good Luck Happy Vaping :)

Thanks.. I have 6 Evods before I tried the pro tank 2 I like them but they are a little to airy for me. I have an iTaste svd on order as well as a vision 1300. I'm just afraid that these are going to die after a few months, weeks, or days

One of the biggest problems with vaping is that at the start smoking is not only easier ... it can seem to be cheaper. With the cost of atomizers and batteries and juice vaping at the start can be pretty expensive. However if your frugal it can save you quiet a bit of money in the long run. And I don't just mean in medical bills ... however there are those here that the medial bills is the only place they will come out on top.

While the provari is an Excellent piece of equipment is also quite expensive and may not be quite what your looking for just yet. The vision spinners that have already been mentioned are relatively inexpensive and reasonably reliable but not especially more or less than what I believe you have from your description.

I would suggest 2 spinners or other ego style battery to keep you going and then take time to browse these forums and other sites to look at a VV/VW device such as the Provari. There are other types and styles out there of varying degrees of quality vs. cost.

In your OP i see your using the kangar protank 2. That is a good atomizer so I would suggest just sticking with it for now. You will find plenty to spend your money on soon enough.

I haven't used an EVOD (my main devices don't have eGo threading), but I do use Protanks, which I often find too airy for me. This is my fix, but I'm not sure if it would work on an EVOD. Anyway, it's cheap. The hole fits perfectly around the 510 connector and the labels can be layered if you need more or less airflow restriction. Go ahead and laugh, it works.

I have the Vision Spinner 1300 mah, good choice on that and the SVD.

Not sure if this will help you, but I bought a Kgo charger for the Spinner, all was great until about a month ago when I went to charge the Spinner. I was getting both red and green solid lights at the same time. I had to raise the center pin on the Spinner, the center pin is in the middle of 510 connection. To raise the pin, take something like tweezers or even a paper clip and pry GENTLY up on the pin, working your way around the pin a couple of times. You should turn the battery off before doing this, just as an added precaution.

I am careful not to over-tighten my juice delivery systems, but somehow I managed to push the pin down enough that the charger wasn't working correctly. Best of luck to you, and I hope your new stuff is problem free.

Do yourself a favor and pick up the MVP 2.... read some reviews and some threads on here and you will know why. Plus it is only around $40.00.....

I thought about this before I picked up the SVD.. Now I cant see myself going back to VV/VW units. The mechanical mods have a tight grip on my nutz
