Hey All,

I started vaping a couple of weeks ago and initally bought a "starter kit" to get me going so far this is serving me well but i want to develop further but i'm getting slightly confused. Before i start, please forgive me if my terminology is completely wrong :)

The kit i bought was a EGO with a ce5+: EGO Small Black e-Cigarette K inc 2x EGO Battery, 2x CE5+ Wickless Atomisers USB Charge Cable - EGO Kit - Scan.co.uk

I want to change the ce5+ clearomizer? to try something different. I've been looking at a couple of different ones but want to check a few things:
Ok, so my first question is does this battery have a 510 thread? I'm also looking for a new battery to upgrade my power, preferably VV... been looking at the zmax or vamo, any suggestions except provari... (its a bit too expensive yet)

Would the EVOD, Kanger T3, Vivi Nova & protank work with my ego battery currently &, possibly for future, the zmax/vamo?

Do the ones above come as an "all in one" package? i.e. atomiser, tank etc..

Finally, which one do you guys recommend?

Any assistance in helping me built my first custom setup would be greatly appreciated

Thanks

Dan

If you want something easy that performs well - Evods or Protanks are my personal preferences out of your list. Also Iclear 16 and Iclear 30s are great. All of these are inexpensive, easy to clean/maintain. They come all inclusive - just buy spare coils/wicks to replace every so often as they get old. All of the above will fit on your ego. It should have ego and 510 threading, as do the vamo and zmax.

Also welcome and congrats on the switch! :toast:

Hi and welcome to ECF. Your battery has both eGo and 510 threading.

The Kanger T3s and Evods have Ego threading I believe, so you can use them on your Ego, but I don't think they will work on the Vamo or Zmax, which only have 510 connectors. I think everything else you mentioned uses 510 so it should be interchangeable. I really liked the Vivi novas when I was starting out. I had issues with T3s and CE3s leaking, maybe they fixed it on the CE5s. The EVOD, Kanger T3, Vivi Nova & protank all come ready to use also, just fill and vape. Good luck!

Thanks Guys, some great responses & information provided here.. Really helping :) I don't think i'd have ever spotted the inner threads on my ego!

Ok so far its a toss up between evod & pro tanks i think. I'll have a look around for a good UK supplier & try and pick one up, not too sure on the prices of these things... Luckily the ce5's are relatively cheap so i got myself a couple.

Hiya, I'm in the UK too, I've just picked out my first kit (can't wait to order on pay day) :) searched around a few sites, loads of out of stock or look like cheep knock off gear so have a good search! I'm going to order the evod 650 starter kit (+ wall charger and a vision spinner 1300 battery) from vapeescape.co.uk giddy giddy :)

Yeah i came across Vape Escape earlier... they have a shop a couple of miles near Manchester so i was considering nipping down :) Kept looking through & i think the pro tank is taking my preference for some reason, i like the idea of a glass tank but its really expensive compared to the rest... £16 the cheapest i found & i like to have a couple so i can vape a few flavours :)

The EVOD isn't bad, think i've seen them for about £6 each so not too sure...

Keep looking at the ZMAX V3 but i think that's for another day, i can put up with my ego for now.

Let me know how you get on with your new setup, i can't wait to start building mine. The funny thing is, i actually prefer vaping to smoking now & i've only been doing it two weeks! :d
