Welcome to ECF, SirReel. Yep, it's a deep rabbit hole where there's more than meets the eye and certainly more than the local gas station has available. Read up on the mods before making an expensive purchase and you will save lots of money by being an educated vaper.

Lots of people spend several hundred dollars in search of the holy vape and could have wised up on what's good and what's not and why they are or are not by reading ECF for a month or so.

Welcome, and congratulations!

I also started vaping, and quit smoking. I feel kinda guilty because I don't feel like I "quit" smoking. I feel more like I just kinda forgot that I smoked when I started vaping.

Oh well, I'll just let folks keep on thinking that I quit smoking. It sounds more impressive than "Uhhh... Yeah... I sorta forgot that I used to smoke, and just stopped doing it.". :p

Yep, I just lost the desire for it after vaping a while and didn't know that until I decided to quit one day and never looked back. The funny part is that I could have done it a couple of years earlier and didn't realize it. I went for that long smoking one after every meal and dreading the withdrawal even while vaping constantly. I had to quit those last few to become a believer.

Yeah being a gadget nerd to begin with. I started reading long before I really decided to get something. Had some coworkers try with some really cheap gas station models and I knew there had to be something better than that. So for my first kit I picked up a Provari starter pack that came with a charger a couple of AW IMR's and a pro tank. So a really nice first rig. Only thing I think I could add to make my holy grail would be a Kayfun. So yeah, I'm pretty sure where my Christmas bonus is going :)
