Had a accident 3 weeks ago n had to go to hospital, Dr. Says blood pressure too high which i take pills for anyway plus a stroke i had in 09 so i know i need to quit analogs badly. Anyway after getting out of hospital finally need a smoke bad n out, so go local tobacco store n they are selling the ecigs there now. Tried everything else so i thought id try this. It is a 808 pen style and then i found this forum, wished it would have been sooner.I did go get sone cartos n juice n overall i like it pretty good and has helped a lot but batterys die too fast as i use it alot. Lookin for a better kit that will last longer and not break the bank since im out of work for 12 weeks with no income, gives me plenty of time to research n ask questions. Thanks in advance for any help.

I yea make sure u quit any nicotine product. im not sure if you have researched what nicotine does to your blood veins but nicotine is the substance that is the primary contributer to clogged arteries. I done some research on it the past 2 weeks and man it actually has me worried, to be honest. going to the eye doctor, well that can be the easiest way to find out the first signs of your arteries getting clogged. they can take a picture and blow it up on a huge monitor. since your eyes have some of the smallest caps in your body he can look along with you and show you the formations. I've seen it myself about 2 years ago and it's fasinating. good luck on your vaping journys . Not trying to scare u I just thought I would share some info that I've been finding out for myself.

I'm sorry, but you have been misinformed or have misinterpreted something. There has recently been some research that was described by the researchers themselves as "tentative and preliminary" that may have indicated a mechanism by which nicotine could make arterial walls more susceptible to the adherence of plaque, which is the primary contributor to clogged arteries. That is as far as it's gone. There is no solid research or consensus in the medical community on this. There is certainly no good evidence that nicotine is a, let alone the, primary contributor to clogged arteries. Even the researchers who did the latest research never went so far as to claim that. Only the Antz have tried to twist it to make that connection.

The only consensus that exists in the legitimate medical community is that nicotine, as a vascular constrictor, can contribute to high blood pressure. This effect may, or may not, be severe enough to cause a problem, especially in people with existing cardio pulmonary issues. Many people have reported significant lowering of their blood pressure after they quit smoking and started vaping, despite continuing to use nicotine. Would their BP be even lower if they used no nicotine at all? Probably. But it is false to attribute high BP solely to nicotine and extremely false and misleading to call nicotine a primary contributor to clogged arteries.

Believe me. If any reliable evidence existed for nicotine being a cause of clogged arteries, the antz would be shouting it from the rooftops. BP would be battering us over the head with the fact. Doctors wouldn't be nearly as supportive of vaping as they are. Laws would be proposed on that basis. None of that is happening. Nicotine, according to all legitimate evidence, is a mild stimulant and about as harmful as caffein. Some people shouldn't drink coffee either. Some people shouldn't do strenuous exercise or have sex because they cannot tolerate any elevation of their BP. Those people shouldn't vape, but if they smoke, even they are better off vaping.
