I seriously need to quit smoking, I am 45yrs old and have smoked since I was 15. The ecig appeals to me, but my question before I take the plunge is....DO YOU INHALE the vapor? Because it seems to me that people only blow it out like they didn't inhale it, like a cigar. I am not interested in that, I want to be able to immitate a real smoke, inhalation and all that jazz. Next question, if I DO inhale, will it harm me? Thank you all in advance, C

That's what I do much of the day= inhale.
After 40 years of smoking, I was able to quit on vape day 2 with 36mg nicotine and a decent PV.

It can be done - and you can be the one to do it. Get a decent PV with good battery life, some decent eliquid(juice strong enough to curb that urge), some attys or cartomizers, and vape those cigarettes into the history book of life.

Good luck and stick close to ECF. Lots of support, encouragement, and a vast array of knowledge can be found here. :thumb:

1) Oh, HELL yes!

2) Not at all, especially compared to a real one. Ick.

You might cough a bit at first, but stick with it. After a few drags, your lungs get used to it... it's kinda like learning to smoke all over again. Try to remember what the first couple of ones were like when you were 15 :)

I should probably add that when you take that long drag, do it very gently, otherwise you'll get juice in your mouth and/or not get enough vapor (because you're trying to get vapor quicker than your atty can make it. 4 seconds or so. Also, if you have a manual battery press the button as you are bringing the ecig up to your mouth--you'll get more vapor that way. I'm at 45 days vaping now--I quit analogs on my first day vaping. Absolutely no cravings!

I smoked longer than you and quit immediately. You do inhale the vapor. It's not going to feel the same as inhaling burning leaves, burning paper, tar, carbon dioxide, carbon monoxide and 4000 chemicals. It's not going to smell the same but you can find juices that smell like tobacco. It won't be quite as lung filling, not going to give you the kind of buzz carbon monoxide does. But if you research here, pick an appropriate ecig for you, and spend some time trying different juices, it can be better than smoking. And you'll get your taste buds and sense of smell back, and likely start breathing better, looking better and definitely smelling better. There seems to be a huge success rate for staying off cigarettes. And some people who didn't even want to quit accidentally quit after just buying an ecig out of curiousity.

And WARNING - do not accept any free trials or subscriptions. Do not buy any model you see on the web or elsewhere unless you know what model it really is (really - its Chinese model, not whatever some rebrander decided to call it), is it a good model, where else can you can supplies for it, and how much should it cost. There are a LOT of rip-offs out there and they specialize in using incompatible or unidentifiable models and making you pay through the nose for parts. They also lie about how long a cart lasts.

There are plenty of good models sold under their original model numbers and names or by reputable rebranders.

When your first shipment of juice and ecig stuff arrives it will be like Christmas morning. Many vape quite a bit at first from getting the hang of it to wow, this tastes great! So, I would suggest when you buy your juice, don't just get high nicotine (you can choose the strength from zero to pretty high, 36?). Try getting a bit in low, med and high, and in several flavors to find one you really like. High for when that beast of a craving hits, low for when you've been vaping yourself silly and don't need anymore buzz but don't want to stop playing with your new toys!

I smoked for 27yrs and quit as soon as my ecig battery charged. And, trust me, I was skeptical! I loved smoking and rly didn't want to quit, this working surprised the bleep out if me!

Good luck! ( I just tried juice from tasty vapor tonight for the first time and its amazing, everyone has their own opinions, that is mine :)
