Seriously, I wish we could do this with a little less hypocrisy.
That would be nice, sure. I'm the first person to be hating on hypocrisy. That's why I just answered his questions one at a time at first. For myself, I just don't want to be that "Don't do it" person, when I'm doing it. But lets just look at the facts for a moment. I think all of us are doing it to stop smoking, even the ones who still smoke.
But I've come to the realization that I enjoy smoking too much, and I'm probably never going to quit. If I were 15 and just had my first cigarette last week, it would be easier for me to stop, because I didn't enjoy having a cigarette back then. I just did it for whatever reasons. After it becomes part of your life, the situation changes. I, for one, am happy to have something that I can turn to that helps me to stay off of the true evil that can, and most likely will, kill me. Even if it doesn't, quality of life is diminished. So, if I'm going to enjoy the activity (remember, it's a lifestyle at this point), I may as well be able to enjoy it. Keeping us off of cigarettes is the most important thing.
So, OP. Please think about this. I'm changing my tune. Don't do it. For all of us.
