Newbie here with genesis rsst question

Hello everyone first post here!
So I have been watching all the videos on YouTube about rba's. Have been getting the urge to get one. So I went and got a genesis RSST. I watched a bunch of videos on how to make the mesh and wrap the coil. I do a 4/3 wrap and it is putting out a 1.2ohm. I put It on my device and fire it. All the coils get red and bomb the wick ignites to a little lighter. Can someone help me and either explain what I am doing wrong or point me in the right direction. I am dying to vape this tank!!!

Is there liquid in the tank? Sounds like you have a hot spot.

Which method of creating a wick did you use: oxidized, un-oxidized, burn PG off with a flame? Tons of ways to make a wick, but knowing the method you chose will help us out. Also, if you have a picture of your build, that will help as well.

Have had new builds "flame up". Was a little freaky the first time. Only happened a couple times, but I believe that is what you want to burn off if there is no liquid in yet.

Are you using a regulated device or a mechanical? What wire type/gauge? All the specifics are helpful. I have an RSST an I have done like 30 different setups in it. We will help you get the vape you want out of it.

I have the rsst and I used pbusardo's vid.

Then I started doing micro coils and cotton and vape was better.

Also drilled my air hole out to 1/16 with a Dremel.

I rolled the wick and tourched just the top where the coils go. Then stuck it in the tank and coiled it.

you didnt do anything wrong and in fact sounds like you did it correctly.

if they are glowing evenly dry it sounds like your ready to go the flame up is just whatever residual is in the wick, the wick overheats if it is dry.

once you have a nice even glow your set, fill it up and on a mechanical keep it tilted so the wick can keep up and have at it

It's early so correct me if I'm wrong but, that looks like a 3/2 wrap.

Thank you all. Yeah I was messing around with it last night and seemed to get it but when I kept hitting it after a few it would give me a dry burn.

well 28g with that few wraps is going to be pretty hot until the battery dies down you will need to keep it well tilted to stay wet.

I just got an RSST yesterday, I like it. I got it on my Nemesis with a cotton wick, 28ga, like 4 wraps and it's sitting at .8 I think. ( I know it's less than 1 ohm. ) It vapes very nice, I also drilled out my airhole. But I'm really liking this thing, I've wanted one for a while now. Next will be the Russian/Kayfun. I also use a Davide BDC Glassomizer and the Igo-W for sub ohms.
