What's up fellow vapers. Barely got into vaping about a month ago as quitting analogs is a new year resolution for me. I've quit cold turkey before but this seems to really curb the cravings. Was smoking almost a pack a day and towards the end I was down to only a few. My current setup is a smoktech sid with the kanger tech protank2 on top. Just wanted to say hi to you all. Thinking of getting another protank 2 so I can have different flavors ready to go, but what are some other quality (leak free) tanks that won't break the bank? Thanks.

Hi and welcome to ECF! COngrats on the switch over and Happy New Year!

You can go with a lot of tanks really. The Davide mentioned is good. If you dont have to have glass you can get evods - same coils as protank also. I have my occasionally rotated flavors in those. The Innokin IClear line is also good - I really like the 30 but it does hog a lot of juice bc it has so many darn wicks!

Hope this helps! Happy vapings :)

I love my iClear 30b and 16b, but they do leak some when the coils need cleaning I've found. Still, when a coil need to be cleaned it needs to be cleaned. Taste is great, and I've had the same coil in the 30b for two weeks and its still going (with regular cleaning and dry burning). I've also begun to use carto tanks, and they beat out every clearo I've got! Taste is phenomenal, and I don't think they guzzle the juice like dual coil clearos tend to. I got mine from IBTanked. No leaks so far either, and their customer service has been great. They ran out of a drip tip I ordered, so they sent me a handwritten note with my order explaining that they refunded my money for it. They also provided me with another drip tip, completely free of charge! They can be pricy if you get all the bells and whistles and personalization.

You must be one of the lucky ones with a Protank... ;) I had 2 both developed issues. The first one, the glass barrel became loose and would spin, didnt leak then but when it started, looked like New Orleans after Katrina... The second one would gurgle no matter what. Changed all the seals, rewicked both sets of wicks ( coil and flavor) and nada... still leaked... so I fixed the problem, I got an RSST tank.
If you are preferential to Protank type setups you may want to look into the CE8 Stainless Steel Mesh unit. I picked up 2 of them from a local B&M for 7$ each. They require a bit of a break in period ( let tank soak with juice overnite) to reduce the chance of gurgles. Other than that, the CE8's are pretty decient tanks...

Welcome Mikey! There are so many choices and preferences that I have found that you could spend a small fortune and not scratch the surface. I am contemplating upgrading from my eGo and moving on but have no idea where to go from here. I am very please with my present set up but want a little more cloud. I hope you find what you are looking for and as long as you are away from the analogs you should be happy with whatever. I have noticed that I have more pocket change now, feel better and have a hard time being near a burning analog. For that I am grateful! Vape on and welcome!:headbang:

Thanks for the responses so far! I'm liking the fact that the EVOD uses the same coils as my PT2 and I wouldn't have to have 2 different sets of spare coils laying around.

Also I have a drip atty that seems to hold onto the previous flavor for a while even after I get that burnt wick taste. Seems like the wick inside is Really long. I'm thinking that could be the problem. How far out past the coil should the wick go in a drip? I've got probably a good half in in there.

Thanks.

Arenz I wanted to get a VV/VW so I could dial in my vape with my PT2 on the different coils and ended up going with the smoktech sid for a fair price in a B&M store here in CA. $80 for the mod with 2 18650s and a charger. Very happy with the rig although I may drop down to a 18350 tube and battery only because it's a bit cumbersome out on the town with "the baton" as my coworker has named it.
