After reading the forum for a couple of weeks I decided to try a manual 402 kit +PCC at my first PV to see if it would be enough for me. My former smoke of choice was Capri Ultralights - super-slim with ingredients that include a bit of cocoa and honey (my boss called them Barbie cigarettes). They were very light, nice taste, not a ton of smoke or TH. But when the cartons got to be over $60 I had to switch to something a lot cheaper and went with Pall Mall Orange (almost $20 cheaper per carton) but they are harsh for me. And I waste many cigarettes per day with an urge leading to 3-4 puffs then chucking it to get back to whatever I was doing. They make my throat sore and annoy my sinuses. I am looking for something lighter and more affordable.
I never tried to quit because I am too obsessed with smoking so I want to try a PV. I am hoping to not fall in a trap of escalating my nicotine usage or vaping all the time. I did not buy a passthrough - I spend most hours of my day at a computer at work or at home and I don't want to be vaping all the time. I still want to walk out to the warehouse at work to partake of my nicotine and to the bathroom at room.
re the manual 402 kit - I imagine some people will think it's a newbie first choice but I know some people like them fine, I like the size of the PCC, I can screw around with carts and atty at work if need be. Gonna try dipping too. I bought an extra atty and have 2 batteries in the kit. If it doesn't work out for me I will buy something else.
My questions are general...
1. How easy is it to use PV's and not escalate nicotine dependency and/or frequency of usage?
2. Does anyone actually have luck quitting nicotine with a PV by reducing the mg of their fluid?
