Hi i'm Claire i gave up smoking 2.5 months ago when i found vaping, in just two months of vaping instead of smoking real cigarettes my health has improved so much. I so pleased i made the change it has also improved the health of my hubby who has never smoked,
my skin is clearer my voice so much better, no more smokers cough my oxygen sats have improved from 91% to 100% and my pulse has gone right down, so vaping is doing me a lot of good.

now just need to find the right piece of kit for me as mentioned i've only just started, have lots of batteries and clear atomisers already just want something with a bit more oomph but not so pricey i'm on a budget,

at the moment i have vapeescape deluxe kit of 2 1100 ego batteries and a naturescape atomiser.

I'm hoping to do my own blogs on starting vaping and e juices from the female perspective
I have also been in contact with a few manufacturers who are interested to hear what females would like to see design wise in an E cig. So if any other females on here would like to let me know that would be a start.

I also am trying to find a decent way to carry e cigs without the juice leaking out of them any idea's and not lariats I make my own jewellery and can make them easily enough i just don't like them, i don't really want to carry my e cig around my neck if that makes sense

Hey Claire -

Welcome! I'm one of the newbies around here too... I noticed you mentioned your pulse rate dropping quite a bit. One of the key factors in my deciding to quit smoking was my resting heart rate. I started tracking it and couldn't believe how bad it had gotten.

Over the 2.5 months that you've been smoke-free, can I ask how many points you were able to bring your HR down?

Best wishes and congratulations on the quit.

As for the potential setup you are considering... For the atomizer, I really like the Aspire Nautilus. A PV worth considering is the Vamo V5 as it seems to have really good reviews for the price you can get them at now.

i have to add in here that i also have MS and other health issues my caridac rate has gone from 96 down to around 76 at the moment on last check at the hospital that was about 6 weeks into vaping, when i had a small op on my back and i was a bit anxious over that. but it's staying around the 76 mark when i do my pulse myself i'm an ex nurse. it has really helped me.

Hi Claire.

I started on a VE Riva deluxe kit after wasting my time with E-Lites and JacVapour cig-a-likes. (lots of money and time...)

Since then, I've picked up all sorts. 90% of the time, I use an iTasteVV v.3 or a Vision Spinner with small tanks.

iTaste VV V3.O Kit - Starter Kits

Vision Spinner 2 1650 Mah - Batteries & Chargers

People will recommend all the big tanks to you. There's nothing wrong with a mini tank. Nature Vape are good, but I make my own coils with cotton wool for about 10p, so I'm not a big fan of the £5.99 heads.

If you want to know where all the girls are, check out AAEC UK. There are 1,000s of female UK e-cig fans on there.

(I'm on there too.... )

thanks for the warm welcome, silly question time, what is the bit that you can buy that goes between the atomiser and the battery, it's a seperate piece that you buy to stop the battery looking silly if you have bought a atomiser that you recoil i am just trying out the naturevape one blimy it's a lot of difference than the clear atomisers that come with the e cigs wow immediate head rush need to go down in nicotine i think, lol

You can also start running regularly and drop your rest hr even more. Life gets a lot easier when you have 50 bpm at rest!

"wow i can run now can I when my bpm gets below 50, just being able to walk would be nice" "i'm in a wheelchair lol"
please dont mind my sense of humour disclaimer

Hi claire welcome to ecf. Im almost 2 months in and I kind of had the same issues you are just alot sooner. I would highly recommend getting a mod that you can adjust voltage and wattage on seriously its a whole new world adjusting wattage. As far as tanks go I really like my aerotank. Not saying its for you but maybe something with airflow control would give you what your looking for. Adjustable air flow seems to be getting more popular with alot of tanks.....

Also not sure of your lifestyle or anything and im a guy so we may differ a bit in tastes lol. But I use a box mod that fits in a smart phone case. So when I leave the house I just grab the case and put it on my belt or hook it in a pocket. This would also be good to clip it to your purse to keep it upright while your doing whatever. Ive seen people use the same idea for pen style mods I think they use flash light cases of different sizes. Alot of manufactures sell the lanyards that you can hang your PV around your neck but to me that would get really annoying. Good luck sounds like your really into it.

i nearly bought a vision spinner the other day, contacting manufacturers at moment to see if i can get free kits to review, it's worth a shot and i like doing reviews,

I recommend the spinner 2 it dosent have the drop off that the other spinners do through out the day. And the button changes colors to let you know when its time to charge.

don't know why companies think Lanyards are a good thing can't think of anything worse, i have a few cases that have come with kits but they seem huge don't need to take charger etc with me if i have a spare battery that's full, may need to take a juice or two still trying to find the ones i really like am into bakery and candy ones at mo,

I have really noticed the difference already between the clear atomisers that come with kits and my nature vape midi pro can really taste the flavour but the hit is just a little to much, think i need to really reduce the nicotine down to around 12 but the flavour is so much stronger. but whoo head rush, not used to strong anymore lol, 2 months 1 week and counting never ever going back to real cigs so they best not ban the e cig now,

Yes... more power, more Vapour, more nicotine too.

I'm reducing my nicotine and trying not to get sucked into the power wars. I'm happy at 8-9 watts mostly.

Going to 100% 6mg nicotine from tomorrow, then hoping to quit for good by September. :)
