I was in the same position as you a month ago. I loved the Triton until it broke. For some reason it is constructed with a friction fit just below the button, which easily comes apart exposing the internals. Making the two parts threaded together or just making it one piece would have been a much sturdier design. I admit I am rough on things, though, so if you are sure yours will never get dropped or stressed in any way you should be alright.

Welcome! I have both Halo G6 and Triton batteries. After you have 5 post you can starting posting in the Halo forum here, we'd love see you join us there! I started with the G6 kit because the Tritons didn't become available until later. I haven't had a bit of trouble with anything I've bought from Halo. Good quality and good customer service. I think you'll be pleased! :)

This is my Triton. I had it for 3 weeks. Had it in my top pocket when I was closing my truck tailgate and leaned into it a little. The place it came apart is just one piece of metal sliding into the other for about 1/8 inch. Obviously you could characterize this as my fault, but on the other hand I exposed a weakness in the design.

Had that happen to a similar product (SI X2) last fall while putting up xmas lights. Tight jeans pocket, ladders, roof crawling, yada, yada. Fortunately I was able to push it back together and it worked fine...but yeah, it's a weak point for sure.

I do not have a Triton battery, although I just ordered a 400 mah that has not arrived. However, I use the Triton tanks and the mini tanks on a similar style Smokeless Image X2. The Triton tank is very similar to a Kanger T2 which is available other places much cheaper. The T2 works on my X2 batts just fine. The T2 replacement heads will fit the Triton tank, and the heads are also much cheaper elsewhere.

The mini tanks are Kanger T4s and those are also cheaper elsewhere.

Nothing against Halo and it seems they sell decent products...just saying they are a little pricey when it comes to the tanks and heads.

Bummer. I have one 900mah and two 1300mah Tritons I've had for months. I have dropped them a few times, but none of them have broken. Did you contact customer service?

I'm also very new and did exactly what you did..tried cheap ecigs and hated them and decide to go with Halo and have the G6 w/mini tanks AND Triton. I too was a heavy smoker. Got it all last week. I love both! The Triton is very easy to use and smooth vape. Try Midnight Apple ejuice. I don't like apple normally at all juice or real fruit...the taste blew me away. Also, I tried Cafe Mocha and almost stopped vaping. It was awful. But I have learned to "steep" the eliquids and I smelled the Cafe Mocha again (it actually even smelled and tasted burnt). Now it smells yummy! Gonna try and vape it again.have fun!

I recently bought the triton tank system and love it. It is true that the tank is similar to the kanger t2, but with halo, it is virtually impossible for it to leak, since the coil head sits higher than the tank itself (at least I haven't found any other sites that have the same exact design). I also have some of the mini clearomizers and bought a variable voltage battery from halo. I bought some of the standard 78mm manual batteries (similar to the g6) from smokeless image, since they are compatible with each other and I usually use the standard batteries when I'm around people, so that it doesn't attract as much attention, but love using the mini clearomizers on the variable volt battery because I can control the type of vape I get. I have tried the blu, premium, vapor 4 life, eGo, smokeless image, and halo! So far, I love the Halo! I love their juices. My favorite is voodoo! Wish they had different variable voltage batteries and in different colors, but maybe that will happen eventually.

For a beginner i think youll be very pleased with the Halo triton. Great vapor production, nice looking ego style vaporizer and very good vaping overall. Is there better vaporizers? Of course, but for starting out, you made a great buy.

Oh advice though, Halo e juice takes some time to steep. So if the juice seems strange at first it just needs a few days. I like to take the caps off for 24 hours and than shake every day after that with caps on. I usually wait about 4 days before actually vaping new Halo juice but i also have a stock so that they are always steeping. One more tip, sometimes they start kind of not vaping right and i noticed its only if i fill it too much. Try to fill it exactly at the 2.4 mark and it will usually vape good.

Congratulations for "exposing a weakness in the design", but I'm afraid that the design is common to most eGo type batteries. The Triton tank is just a Kanger T2, another popular design common to eGo type battery users. Halo didn't re-invent e-cigs. Unless you could demonstrate that most eGo type batts do not suffer from the same "weakness", I'm afraid you've only "exposed" how e-cigs should not be handled.

You can pick up a simple slim flashlight belt holder, to carry it more safely. Alternatively, you could find other means to keep your e-cig clipped to a shirt pocket. Many vendors, including Halo, offer lanyards. There's no perfect single solution; we all have different activities that would leave us with a damaged e-cig.

To get back on topic, I never used a G6 (I use a Triton) but any slim cig-a-like, IMO, is a perfect starting point. I eventually outgrew my cig-a-like, and selected the Triton. I chose it specifically to allow me to continue to use the cartomizers I was familiar with, and I still do use them, on occasion. You may or may not want "more", but you'll know when you reach that point.

You can always pick up a Halo mini-tank, to see what I mean.
