I am fairly new to the whole vapin scene, i smoked for 10 years, last 3 of them was strictly menthol's. I had tried a few of the Blu cigarettes and a couple other gas station specials and they just disappointed me. Heard about the Halo Triton's from a friend I go to class with, bought them and the day they came in the mail I dropped my last cigarette. 48 days later, still have yet to touch a cigarette, also have upgraded to a Volcano Lavatube V2.5. I have been on the site a lot in the last few weeks as i got more into the whole vapin scene, awesome site here btw, but can't wait to meet some new people and hopefully learn a bunch more stuff.

Welcome!

Most of us were disappointed with a cig-alike (one that looks like a cigarette) and moved on to one of the ten thousand better options. It's not at all unusual and not really a mistake. You went with what resembled your old cigarette. There was a reason for that.

This is just what I did, too. I got a Blu starter kit and used it for a few days. It was enough to let me know that the e-cigarette concept might work for me, but the battery life was just silly. I got an ego starter kit and haven't smoked since.

And, welcome to the forum. You will find lots of help and inspiration here for your vaping journey.:)

Ya my whole argument on vapin to my fiancé was that we would save a ton of money on it, just in the last 2 weeks i have probably spent well over 150 bucks just on liquid and spare tanks and coils. Not to mention her having to go get her a vv/vw mod also. Sure isn't a money saver yet, but i don't care, vapin is amazing imho lol

That's pretty normal. You need enough stuff to make it a success, and that requires an initial outlay.

If you don't go "ooh, shiny!" and click order on every new mod, you'll find that you do save money. I was a heavy smoker in a state where smoking is very expensive, so vaping now costs me 15.6% of what smoking did over the same time period (did I mention I track things?)

I DIY my own liquids, rebuild my own coils, and if I could figure out how to mine lithium in the back yard, I'd never buy another battery. :)

When you're browsering for example FT it's hard to not go "Oh shiny!" :D
With their prices and all their gear... oh my.

I'm ready to get into RBA already - stuff is on their way here.
DIY juice aswell ^^
It will take a looong time until i'll break even. However since it just turned out to be an hobby i don't mind putting my money into it.
Also the items you're buying will last a long time, unlike cigarettes. ^^

ya as of right now i have the lava tube v2.5, fiancee just got her smoktech SiD a couple days ago, we have 5 kanger protanks, and i bought 30 extra coils, along with 4 halo triton batteries 8 tanks for them along with about 10 spare coils, and about 30 different bottles of liquid and only smoke/like about 4 of them lol. Been very very tempted to purchase a e pipe. Just for the discrete smallness of it, the lava tube sure is hard to hide and vape in class.

Look for Mini ego :) They're super tiny and lasts 3-4 hours. :)

That little thing lasts that long? Hmmmm.

According to the specs, yeah. I don't own one so i don't know. But i've seen reviewers told good things about it for stealthvapers. :)
And it's so tiny so you could easily have a few spares in the pocket. :p

I was thinking of ordering these from FT they costs just 5$ a piece. But they're knockoffs so i changed my mind.

What's the dollar value on you and the fiances life?? Priceless, right!! Get your vape on!!

Exactly, I'm not complaining about it or anything, only downfall to switching to vapin is i want everything i see. Being bored at the house with no homework and nothing to do along with that little plastic card has not been working out well for me yet lol. everything i see that i want or that looks cool i have to fight with myself for a bit and talk myself out of it lol.

Ahhhh yes, the "Add To Cart" syndrome!! I have it really bad myself, no willpower at all. You might try making yourself a vape budget. Just roughly calculate how much you would have spent on smokes every month and then apply that amount to vaping gear for awhile. Personally, I'm up to about 3 years worth of vaping budget, but WTH!!
