Hi guys, as the title said, I'm wondering the difference between an Ego and an Ego-T. What's a tank? What's better for a newbie? Thanks!
The C and T refer to different takes on using an atomizer. Most starter kits include one of these two setups and can be hard to dodge. Being new to e cigs, neither are the easiest, hassle free way to vape. Cartomizers or Clearomizers will require much less upkeep and get your nic fix well. Top that off with standard eGo batteries producing a low 3.4V and you have a less than desirable kit.
If I created my own starter kit from scratch it would have:
2 ego-C twist 1000 mAh batteries (3.2V-4.8V)
1 USB Charger
1 carry case
5 cartomizers
and an assortment of 5 flavors. (You don't know what you like till you try it.)
For a new e cig user, this would be a great start for around $70-80 bucks.

You will be vaping this 70-80 dollars for a month... (think of what you spent on analogs) After the first month you can easily get away with getting 5 more cartomizers and more liquid for 30-40 bucks. I spent $127 a month on the old habit.
I started with a 801 kit, and upgraded to a 510 kit, and for my next upgrade I am going to buy the battery only for a Joye Ego Mega along with a 'eGO Battery Charging Adapter' so I can charge the battery from my current 510 charger. I see no need to pop out the extra bucks for a full kit when all I really need is the battery to go with my current tankage. For those interested here is the link to the adapter ...

Honestly coming from someone who is still new to vaping, a couple ego twists, and some clearomizers, or even the ViVi Nova 2.5 tank is the quickest/easiest way to get your foot in the door. They work incredibly well, produce great hits, and until you get a finer taste for what you're looking for, you won't tell much difference between this and some higher end vaporizers.

A good suggestion but I'd tweek it just a tad.
Instead of 2 1000mah Twists I'd get at least one 650mah. It's important to have a PV that you can stick in your pocket for out and about vaping and those 1000mah Twist's are really long.
I'd also get more than 5 cartomizers.
