Greetings!

I've been using the Redd cartomizer for about two weeks now and am looking to upgrade to a veritable voltage system. I thinking of going with the Vision Spinner but I have little idea about tanks or anything that I should be using with it. I'm essentially looking for an easy, satisfying set-up that won't leak and will not require a great effort to maintain. I assume I will need in addition to the battery some kind of cartomizer or atomizer or tank, and a tip. Not sure about ohm resistance and what difference that will make either.

Anywho, if anyone has a good set up they can share I'd appreciate it. As well I'm looking for a Canadian or a supplier that ships to Canada (relatively inexpensively) as well.

Cheers

I suggest to clean the tank and parts with warm/hot water every other refill or so, then give the coils a dry burn. If there is some burnt gunk left on my coils Ill use a toothpick ... needle ... whatever and gently "poke" at it and blow it out while dry burning. I do this until I can clearly see every coil loop while firing.

To dry burn you simply leave the silicon sleeve that sits on top off and look at your coil, firing the device for a few seconds ... blow ... then let it cool for a few seconds. Rinse and repeat. You can find vids on youtube on how to do this.

It's actually very simple and quick. This method will not only continue to give you great flavor, but it makes your atomizer head last much longer. (I'm about a month in on one of my heads). Of course, you can buy replaceable heads for the Nova as well.

I used my twist with a 1.5 ohm DCT and it rocked at 4.0. I just think the spinner seems more durable than my twist.

FYI, running an ego-style battery at under 2ohms is not really recommended. Granted, I've run a 1.7-1.8 ego atomizer on mine with no problem ... but they do recommend against it. So 1.5 might be getting pretty low and could cause issues. What are those issues? not 100% sure. My guess would be shortening the life of the battery. Worse case ... cause the battery temps too get high and KAPOOF! If you feel the battery getting hot ... ease off.

So for example a 1.7 ohm carto in a tank is not recommended but instead 2.0 ohm?

Correct. But again, I've run 1.7-1.8 ohm with no problem. The battery I used them on was a standard Ego and its still alive and kicking, though I don't use it that much anymore so I can't vouch whether the life of the battery has been affected.
