I'm new to vaping , new to the forum. I'm ready to upgrade from my cheap pen. I ordered a iLeaf 30W not knowing what to get. It had some great reviews. Now I'm looking for a tank. I'm into light mouth to lung hits. I'm more of a flavor chaser. I would like to find something that has coils i could rebuild, but not a must. I really enjoy my little pen, but its cheap. Your thoughts?

So what is wrong with cheap? What kind of pen are you using? I have Mods all the way from a 20 watt eGrip and 20 watt Istick to a 50 watt Cloupor Mini+with Temp Control. I have a 200 watt Koopor mini on the way that I won here on the forums I don't plan to even open box. Gonna sell it to get money for batteries for my new 15 watt Mods that I'm getting for Christmas.
Right now my favorite vape is an Evod that I bought for $7.95! You don't need to spend a ton of money to have a good vaping experience.

Welcome and glad you joined.
I have two istick 30's,great choice. The 30 is perfect for flavor chasing. Suggest keep a single coil around 1.5 ohms (6.8 w.). I use RDA's so I can't help you with tanks.

I would like to find something that has coils i could rebuild, but not a must.
Suggest getting a tank where you can build your own coil (single) and at the same time save money. Might want to look into a Origen Genesis V2 hybred:

Equipment for us non sub ohmer's is not where its at. Flavor chasing is the challenge. I DIY, so I'm always tasting new flavors and trying variations of recipes.

If you want to build, a Kayfun clone-- I like the V4 best of them-- is a solid shot for little money. Top fill and an extra 5 bucks buys the "subohm kit" which is a PEEK resistor and a wider airflow pin. A Lemo2 is also a good choice. It can be coiled anywhere between 3 and about .4 with no problems. Single coil, an ingenious top fill system, great airflow control. You'll probably want a smaller drip tip for M2L. For dualies, the Fogger V4 or V6 is worth a look. I modded mine (I have 4, or maybe 6, I forget, in both versions) for better airflow, but the tighter draw won't bother a M2L hitter. The Foggers were my go-to tank for a long time. The V4s are now Old Skool and you can buy them authentic, new/old stock, for 10 bucks. The V4s are bottom fill, though; the V6s are top fill. Finally, my new favorite tank is the Indulgence MT, but that's really built for deep subohm and clouds. It has great flavor, but it shines below .3 ohms and above 40 watts. I don't think you want to go there.

You've asked a loaded question; everyone has their favorites! For building, mine is a Kayfun Lite Plus V2 (KFL+V2). It was designed for flavor and delivers. It's also really simple to build and doesn't leak. I don't have any clones, so I can't steer you in a particular direction -- but the authentic is well worth the money, IMO. The authentic is about $70. Best of luck to you, and welcome!

I do not have a ton of experience with different tanks, but I have 2 I can recommend.

I have the Subtank Mini with the RBA plus. It is inexpensive, parts are easily available, it has adjustable airflow for either M2L or straight lung, and you can purchase factory made coils, or you can build them yourself on the RBA. I love mine.

I also have an Orchid clone. The are even cheaper, but you have to make your own coils. The flavor is better than the STM in my opinion, but they have a fixed airflow that may be to open for you.

I like my Aspire Nautilus minis, great flavor, suitable for MTL. Coils can b rebuilt but are not designed for that. There is an aftermarket RBA (ReBuildable Atomizer) head available for them on ebay.

I prefer my Eleaf GS Tank, great flavor, suitable for MTL. It comes with .15 ohm nickel coils for TC (Temperature Control) mods but will take any of the GS coils. I use the 1.5 ohm Kanthal coils. Coils can b rebuilt but are not designed for that.

The Eleaf GS-Air M is a 19mm tank that's similar to the GS Tank that comes with 1.5 ohm Kanthal coils.

The Ego One Mega has great flavor and is 22mm and holds 4 ml. Coils come in .5 and 1 ohm. The 1 ohm have a tight draw. The .5 ohm are more airy. There are CLR coil heads available that can be rebuilt easily.

If you're new to vaping and graduating from a "cheap pen", the step up to a rebuildable may be a step too far for now. They say it may be easy to build your own coils and wicks but you could struggle the first few times and lose patience.Plus you'd have to make sure you have the few tools required. My suggestion would be to buy the Nautilus Mini with the drop in ready made coils. Great for flavour and mouth to lung.

Welcome to ECF! A Kanger Subtank mini is a good all around choice, you can use their coils or make your own with the RBA section. It offers nice flexibility. A nice simple RTA tank would be SXK Nebula Wine Tank RTA, nice tank, simple to build on and inexpensive($10-$13 online)
