I grew frustrated trying to drip liquid into cartos so I went and bought a package of diabetes syringes with needles at Walgreens. They don't work. I can't get any juice drawn into them at all.

Does anyone know if I can maybe get fatter ones at a veterinary supply store or somewhere local without having to wait for mail?

I'm surprised you were just able to walk into a drug store and buy syringes without a prescription for needles or insulin. I'm diabetic and once was was out of town on vacation. I brought my insulin but left my syringes at home. When i went to a local drug store they refused to sell me syringes without a prescription or insulin in hand to prove i needed them. I had to drive all the way back to my hotel to get a bottle of insulin and bring it back.

When i get there they still gave me crap because my name and doctor and other prescription info was printed on a label on the box not the actual bottle which i brought.

It took a call to my pharmacy and doctor before i was able to buy a bag of needles.

Then again this was in Texas, most things are backwards in Texas.

I use 18 gauge needles with 100% VG, bought them at Tractor Supply, and used a Dremel to grind the sharp end down.

I wondered if anyone was going to mention Tractor Supply, all sorts of needles and syringes in the animal health section, cheap too. Syringes can also be handy for DIY, to measure ingredients.

I'd recommend 14ga for straight VG, personally. 18ga does work but it's a pretty hard 'draw' into the syringe, for me at least, probably because I draw one-handed and hold the bottle with the other. I use 18ga on mixed liquids, flavorings, PG, etc, but the only needles I'm happy with for VG liquid or my VG nic base are 14ga. Somewhat unusual place to get 'em but SRA-Solder (an electronics/soldering supply house) has luer-lock blunt tips that work excellently with the syringes I got from Wizard Labs (also luer-lock), no leaking around the connection is the main reason I use them, and they don't pop off if I try to dispense faster than the needle gauge allows.
