I found a really great juice that I can't put down! A real ADV that I'm almost positive will be in heavy rotation. I'm unsure of the PG/VG balance though (I think it's 30/70), and I'm using 6mg nic. What makes it so much more interesting is that I found that mixing it 50/50 with another vendors similar flavor kicks it up a bit and and changes it subtly. The other vendor is 50pg/50vg and also 6mg nic.

If I were to get one of those flavors in 0 nic and do the same mix, would my nic content go down to 3mg? What might this do to the pg/vg content and how much less throat hit do you think could be expected?...I'm thinking not much.

I ask because I'm really chain-vaping this current mix and I would probably like to cut down my nic intake to 0 at some point...just not sure when. I can't imagine it changing too much.

Here's what I got:
The Vapor Emporium (USA) - Great Dane - 30pg/70vg? (0 nic)
vape Dojo - Cinnamon Toast Chata - 50pg/50vg (6mg nic)

I'm a huge fan of cinnamon rolls and sticky buns...

1st question: yes the nic content would go down. As for what the exact proportion of PG/VG would be then (2nd question)... I'm not that good at math. It would increase the PG is all I know for sure. PG carries a lot more flavor and gives a lot better throat hit; for me, an asthmatic, VG is too heavy for me to vape anything more than 70PG/30VG; it sits in my lungs and feels like a hairball I can't get rid of, if I do more VG than that. Since I want max throat hit anyway, PG suits me fine.

I like to mix pre-mixed juices too; tried the real "DIY" once, but couldn't even come close to a flavor I like, so I guess I'm done with that experiment; I'll just mix pre-made juices. In order to customize the nicotine level and make sure I'm getting it right, I do it in Excel; the image below is how I know how many equal parts of each thing to add -- the VA-18 is Virginia 18mg; the OBC is Oak Barrel Cider (very appley) 18mg; Cinnamon Redhot 11mg, and Virginia 6mg. I like to come in between 8.5-9.5 mg for daytime use.

Hope that helps at all...

yes mixing evenly 6mg and 0mg would net 3mg. if you were to do 2/3 6mg and 1/3 0mg you would get 4mg, and 2/3 0mg and 1/3 6mg you would get 2mg. This would need to be exact using a syringe if you are just eyeballing it then your measurement will be way off.

as for the end resulting pg/vg ratio on the mixing the two 50/50, you should be around 40pg/60vg. If the other juice is in fact 30pg/70vg.

Good answers, I'll just add that yes, your throat hit will go down as a result of the lower nicotine. Most people say (rightly) that the PG provides most of the throat hit between the PG and the VG, but the nicotine provides a greater part of it than either PG or the VG.

So usually, lower nicotine = lower throat hit.
