DIY anything is cheaper, once you pay for the tools and supplies. Chairs, tables, entertainment centers, ammunition, boats, and even juice. You don't need anything as expensive as a lathe to get started mixing your own juice though...
I don't do it for the cost difference, I do it because my stuff tastes exactly the way I want it to taste, perfect. Same reason I do my own cooking, woodworking, and home repairs, I get it exactly the way I want it, perfect.
To the OP.
You have 48mg/ml of nicotine in PG, so to make 24mg/ml at least half of you mix must be PG. Add flavoring, which is nearly always PG, and your you must have more than 50% PG. If the PG/VG ratio is the most critical component of your juice then don't go for 24mg/ml or don't add flavoring.
If the nicotine is the important component then add whatever else you want, but keep the nicotine at 24mg/ml (which must be half your mix when starting with 48mg/ml base).
If the taste is the most important thing, then don't worry about the nicotine content or the PG/VG ratio and figure out the flavoring level that works for the taste.
You cannot do all 3 at the same time with the starting point you have. You could change your starting point by learning more about mixing in the DIY mixing sub here on ECF and ordering different supplies. Your choice, but none of us can change what is.
