Hi everyone i'm completely new to e-cigarettes and was hoping to get some advice on which ones to try out based on my needs. Ideally i'd like one that's pretty much the same size/weight as a regular cig, one where you dont have to suck the hell out of it (currently have the intellicig which is like smoking a silk cut with a hole in it) would prefer a 2 piece system where I would use cartomizers (think thats right) and one that i'm gonna get a good throat/chest hit from and hopefully one that has a good battery life although I do plan on getting a PCC
And if I can get all the above in PINK even better :2cool: lol

I'm currently smoking approx 40 a day 8-o

Thanks for any help or advice :)

Hi! Welcome to ECF and the world of vaping :D Sounds like you would like to look at KR808D-1 batts - They come in 3 sizes...shorty, std and XL - the XL's have the longest batt life IMO. You could try these vendors:

Smokeless Image | Only The Best Electronic Cigarette | Electronic Cigarettes | Wholesale Electronic Cigarettes | E-Cigarette | Best Electronic Cigarette | Electronic Cigarette

V4L; Vapor4Life - Vapor King - the best e-cigarette/smoking alternatives!

Vapor4Life should have the pink you're looking for....

Thanks for replying :)
How does this model shape up to what I'm after? Do you have any experience of it? What's the "drag" like on it?

It is going to take some getting used to for sure. I am still brand new to this myself. You may also be interested in the Halo G6. They have amazing customer service.

The drag is similar to a analog, but not exactly the same. If you are really wanting to replicate the size of a analog, you have the option to get one of the 65mm batteries which are a bit shorter. But with less length comes less battery time. Look at the 78mm batteries like a heavier 100 analog.

The throat hit is going to come from the juice that you choose. I bought a plethora of juices, and the best throat hit i have gotten is from 18mg Honeysuckle at Bluemist. Experiment and buy small amount of liquids first so you are stuck with some huge bottle of flavor you don't like.

I have had my Volt for 1.5 weeks. Smokeless Image currently has a 21% discount code(check the labor day sales forum)

The nice thing is that you can pick 2 different batteries with their kit. I got a 78mm manual and a 65mm auto. I like the manual better right now because I am a sloppy refiller and don't have to worry about ruining my battery on it. It also lasts a bit longer. I think the auto will be handy for when I need to be hands free

Good luck with your decision!

I'm loving this 2-piece 510 kit that comes with cartomizers to share with new vapers. It has a long cutoff time (no mic) so you can warm your juice before vaping for a more cig-like vape. Very nice kit for $29.99 including cartos and everything but juice. For $4 more you get the XL mAh batts that last longer and still look like a cigarette.

These are 510 cartomizer kits from Smok Tech featuring manually operated batteries with blue LED. They also come in auto.
Paste from site:

Each kit includes:

2 manually operated 510 batteries(choose between standard 180mAh and Mega 280mAh) BlueLED
6 empty 3.0 ohm standard cartomizers
1 USB charger
1 USB wall adapter
1 Instruction manual

510 Manual kit made by Smok Tech.
The sealed 510 manual bateries feature a 12 second cutoff.
Sealed battery connectors are safe for dripping.

There are probably other ECF suppliers that sell these also. They're the best slim-cigarette style PV I've found. When you want to upgrade to a KGO/Riva/EGO, your supplies will fit the 510 threading.

I'll pass on my VAST experience...1 month ago, I was a 3ppd smoker and had never heard of ECF...I thought what I wanted was exactly what you describe...after finding this site and doing a good bit of research, I ordered the Riva501 based on performance issues Vs looks of or replication of a regular cigarette. The Rivas are a Sharpie sized unit with a fatt battery, because of the amount I previously smoked, I knew battery life would be an issue, with the Riva, 2 batteries will last me a lonnnnnng day of vaping as opposed to the smaller ciggie sized units which I would have had to change batts 4-6 times per day...also the array of carts, cartos, tanks and other options for the 501 system was just so much larger and wide spread...so, my recommendation is....
1) goto E-Liquid and Electronic Cigarette Shop - Category Listings , click the 20% discount button in the top left corner of page...scroll down to the starter kits and click the Riva501 button and scroll down to the Riva501 Lite bundle...this will get you 2 Riva batts, charger, carts, etc. for 29.99 plus shipping(under 5bux)...you can even get it in pink!!!!!!
2) forget the carts that come with the kit...to much refilling, goto Crystal Clear Vaping and get at least one bundle of the LR Boge2.0 cartomizers...these cartos are so much easier to deal with...
3) you will need juice to vape...to start with you can get what you need to start at Liberty Flights(where the RIvas came from)...you WILL NOT be able to replicate the experience of inhalinng burning leaves and 4000+- assorted chemicals unless you burn some funk and inhale it...what you will find is something the taste like an unlit cigarette smells/tastes like...do not be afraid to experiment with different flavors...you will need a 30ml bottle to start with...use smaller bottles for sample flavors only...
Sorry if this has been a bit long BUT, we have all been where you are now...and for myself, I have been smoke free for a week and just loveit!!!!!!!

Welcome! I started with a automatic pen style, like you've described, but quickly found;

Automatic batteries are prone to getting liquid in the batts and die a quick death, cutoff time is usually pretty short (the length of time you can inhale) as well as overall number of hours you'll get per charge.

The upside is you can get a manual (has a button) pen style with a 510 connection, no problems with killing batts, but again the number of hours you get is usually pretty short.

If you move up to a style such as the Riva, the connection is still a 510, you can get the manual batteries and usually will last you most of the day, which is more convenient.

I think and some may disagree, that the issue may be with the cart/atty you have, you may want to just change that up if possible.

Rivas do come in pink and you can pick up a pretty sweet 510 Riva Lite kit @29.95 + shipping, at Liberty flights, you can also check the reviews as well;
Electronic Cigarette - Starter Kits - Riva 510

I picked up several last November and love, love, love them!

I started with e-cigs about 3 months ago. I wanted to do alot of research before I bought anything but I ended up looking in the wrong places. I have since bought several units and wasted a bunch of money trying to find one that suited me. I start with a kit from greensmoke, and then bought blu's. I haven't been happy with either. I then bought a Tornado T system from Totally Wicked and honestly Im not real happy with that either. I'm still on my quest to finding the perfect device for me and even though I haven't really liked anything I have bought so far....They have kept me off cigarettes so I guess thats a win, right? Anyway good luck with your vaping experience and hopefully you have better luck than I did getting started.

Personally, I have a Tornado and I love it so far. I didn't go with the tank model to save a bit on cash. I did get some clearomizers and am liking them alot. It does come in pink. It's a bit bigger than a reg cig but all e cigs are. Bottom line the bigger the batt the less you'll have to switch em out. Before I got the Tornado I had purchased a 510 Titan, a lot closer to the size of an analog. The day after receiving it I ordered up my Tornado. I found the size really isn't that big of a deal, I'd rather have the extra batt life. Good luck.

BTW the Tornado and Ego ppl always talk about are basically the same thing, just re-branded by different distributors.

i am pretty new here too, but after reading some reviews i went with the elite 808 at cigeasy.com.

the elite cartos are way easy to fill and hold 2ml, which is quite a bit. they have a long battery life, about 35% longer than most other 808's.

the downfall for you may be that they only come in black and are manual.

there are 2 awesome reviews on this site for the 808, use the search to find them. i don't think you wuld be disappointed in this kit. also, i ordered on thurs morning, shipped by the end of work and arrived on saturday from california to missouri. pretty darn fast.

My position on the device you're asking about is this: If you're not smoking, but rather vaping, then why does your PV need to look like a cigarette?

With that in mind, you will get alot better performance and satisfaction from a larger battery.

Vapor, flavor, TH and draw will depend on the liquid you use, the type of atty/carto you use and the voltage you put to them.

There are alot of variables to finding your happy place in vaping. It takes a strong constitution and a willingness to learn for yourself. It is for the better. You are wlecome to work at your own speed. If you ask questions her at ECF, they will be answered, no matter how many times they've been asked and answered. Welcome to ECF. Let's begin class...
