Just be aware of that if you have cartridges, those are the hardest of all options to make work correctly as a new user.
So if you are having a lot of problems with them, make sure to come here for help.

Although you will get a lot of suggestions on ways to get them working...
The best advice you'll get will be to buy some cartomizers.
:)

When you say Ego Tank system, do you mean an Ego-T model?

Yes, I believe it is the Ego T model it is the one on special at vape dudes. I have no clue what a cartomizer is so I wil be researching that today.

Okay, I hate to say this, and I hope someone will please correct me if I'm wrong...
But I THINK the Ego-T is also the most problematic Ego version.

I think there are some people that like them, but from what I hear most people really don't like them and move on to something else.
So my fear is that you have unfortunately managed to purchase two of the most difficult models.

I only say all this because I want to make sure if you do have a lot of trouble, please know it can be much easier and much better.

What would you recommend for a newbie? There are so many options out there it almost my head spin lol.

Keep in mind that I'm not really all that comfortable making recommendations, but since you asked me directly...

I would always recommend an Ego Twist unless one of the following two situations existed...
a) The person insisted that they MUST have something closer to the size of a cigarette
b) The person felt that the Ego Twist was going to be too long for them

For scenario (a) my follow-up recommendation would be a Smokeless Image Volt, Bloog MaxxFusion, or Halo G6 model.
For scenario (b) my follow-up recommendation would probably be a Smokeless Image X2

The problem with my follow-up recommendations is that they are KR808D-1 threading, but all of the advanced equipment is 510 threading.
So if you wanted to move up to variable voltage, or tank systems, or whatever, you'd either have to buy adapters or get all new cartomizers and chargers.

EDIT: You might also want to look into whether you can get the Ego-C delivery system to use on your Ego-T battery.

I didn't have any major problems with the Ego-T. It was my first starter kit. It worked fine. Just not amazing or anything.

More importantly, the Ego battery is the back-bone of my vaping arsenal. It's compatible with everything. If the Ego-T atomizer and tanks aren't good enough, just buy something else to use on the same battery (2.0 ohm cartomizers, Stardusts, Vivi Novas, whatever).

The 510 was my second starter kit. It's ok. It should be enough to do the job. But, like the Ego-T, no big thrill. But, the 510 batteries are fun to use for dripping with a 306. I like to match the 306 drip-tip to the 510 battery. It's cute and fun. Unfortunately, the 510 batteries aren't powerful enough to use for anything but a SR 510 or SR 306. So, they're not as versatile, but still usable.

IOW, like DC2 said, if the kits aren't quite what you need, don't get disheartened. Just come here and ask questions. What you have will certainly still be useful at the very least. There are many options out there.

Beside, the kits you got might be fine just the way they are. It depends on your own personal tendencies and preferences.
