I just ordered a Protege 510, excited to get it but its going to be a bit of a wait, and I want to get started!

I was thinking of ordering either a 510 or a kr808 ( I know I got that wrong) well the one that is like the Vapor King.

Is the vapor king and the Krd808 the same device? I keep hearing good things about these cartomizers

I was thinking of ordering from Nhaler

I'm just so anxious to get started :p Which device would be the best to play with until my Protege gets here?
Thanks for any help deciding

Your mom said not to say...
VaporKing and KR808D-1 are indeed the same thing. You can find it under other names as well. I would go check out Nhaler.com for your KR808D-1. I don't think you realize that your Protege is a mod for the 510. It's basically a battery mod that has been done professionally. My point being that it makes no sense for you to buy a Protege 510, then turn around and buy a 510 kit...

Yes, the carts for these can be gotten at V4L, or Nhaler or any other place that sells the KR808D-1 although I have always had great service from Drew at Nhaler.com and the extra goodies in every order makes every package a treat to receive, I am more concerned about what freebies I get in each order more than the product that I ordered it seems.

The KR808D-1 is a good choice to by the way I think you will end up liking the taste that it produces more than the 510, at least I do anyway. You should really like your Protege, if it's anything like the 6v mod that I use it's going to hit really close to a real cigarette. The only down side to the big battery mods is that they suck juice down like the Detroit Engines of the 60's and 70's.

EDIT: I was also under the impression that you had a kit already as well or assumed I should say that you had a 510 atomizer and stuff on order for the 510 so that you were ready to go when it arrives,if you don't have a 510 atomizer then the Protege 510 setup won't do you any good until you do....the coupon code for Nhaler.com is indeed "saveinNJ" without the quotes.

Thought you were already vaping... hmmm. At any rate if you got the Protege in a 510, then since you could use the atty and carts from a 510 kit with it, it might make sense to get a 510 kit. Nhalers is a good place to get one. Get some juice while you're there. And you might get a stainless kit to go with the protege. There's a coupon code that would help cancel out the shipping charge but the freebies Drew throws in more than makes that up, imo. The coupon code is something like "saveinnj" (New Jersey), but check the nhaler forum to make sure.

No I haven't started yet, though all I do is think about it LOL

I've been on here reading and learning all I can about everything and I'm just so anxious to get one already. I did order the Protege kit but that is all, I guess if I got the 510 I would be learning how to use it properly before the protege arrives and it would give me and extra atomizer etc. The Cartomizers just sound so good although a bit more costly. Still hard to decide which to get, sounds like some people are really loving these cartomizers.
Thanks for your opinions guys!

Lots of post from those guys lately, yes, but if you count up the hoards of statisfied 510 users vs. a group of 6 or 7 VKers that hit every thread, (did you notice it's pretty much the same people?) then the 510 wins by far. You can even take my posts (and some of the other veteran 510 users) out of the equation and just read the new 510 users' posts.

At any rate, if you're getting a Colt .45 (protege), you don't buy .380 parts and ammo. But....after you get your 45 and parts, you might want to pick up a 380 somewhere down the line if you think you need it :)

Well, these boards are all about opinions and no one's is better or worse than another.

So for the record, I'm a veteren 510 user and never drip. I don't find the 510 carts useless at all. I've modded all mine with Blue foam and can run about 18 drops in a cart. With the Blue foam I can vape em dry. Too many hits to count. Nothing wrong with 510 carts in my opinion.

I would suggest the OP buy a 510 kit. It'll give you a couple of extra atty's and some batts if your Protoge goes down for any reason. Also, batts are nice when you want to carry something small for a short time that doesn't look like marital aid or flashlight.

Again, just my .02

I just got my 510 todays ago and I love it. Very easy to use (although I ditched the filler after the first night and now just drip). I was on the fence between it and the 808 also but I am very happy with my purchase...not to say my next piece wouldnt be the 808, we'll see. I might end up with a Janty just cause they look cool :)

I get the cartomizers and clean the juice out cause I don't like it and refill with my own juice that I like. I don't care for DeKang liquid and that is what the cartomizers are filled with. Just MHO!! That said...I love my 510 and 901. I usually use the cartomizers when I am someplace I can't top off easily.
