basically I just got this "starter kit" from a friend and I was wondering if anyone could tell me what kind it is or the company that makes it. I'm new to this whole vaping game and idk what brands are interchangeable if any. it looks like my cousins but his says smoke anywhere on it and mine has a blue flame printed on it. any help would be greatly appreciated

Maybe you should just order a whole new kit. You can get a new Riva 510 kit for $29.99 a kit includes 2 650MAH batteries, two atomizers, and usually like 5 cartridges. This kits batteries last for 7-12 hours each between charges, just an option, since ALOT of batteries like the one you are looking for cost half that price just for the battery. Or if you need it to look like a cigeratte, you might want to order a Joye 510. The Joye 510 looks like the model you pictured, those types oof e-cigs batteries only last for an hour at most. The Riva 510 batteries are a bit larger and don't resemble a cigeratte, they are about as round as a chopstick tube, and the same length. Most vapors start with a kit like yours, then get a Joye 510, then realize that they need longer battery life and get a Joy Ego, or a clone like the Riva 510.
Just suggesting that you skip an expensive needless step on your e-cig journey.
I will post another post with a link to liberty flights website that has the Riva for 29.99, you have to go to their main page and click on their 20% off button to get that price, but liberty flights is a wonderful company that many of us order from, they have good prices, and stand behind what they sell. Anyway good luck! And welcome to the forum, and vaping. I went from smoking 3-5 packs a day, to vaping only about 34 days ago.

If you want something slimmer (a bit thicker than a cigarette) and cylindrical

Joye 510 (w/ normal 2-3 hour batteries or mega xl 3-5 hour batteries) or KR808D-1 (aka Vapor4Life, standard size battery is 3-5 hours)
Comparison

I am using both of those and like both. I do prefer to use cartomizers on 510 (it comes as a 3-piece but there are blank cartomizers available which make it a 2-piece) and KR808D-1 is a 2-piece (though you can put a DSE901 atomizer on it if you want, with DSE901 carts or with a drip tip if you got manual batteries. And some other attys with an adapter)

I recommend manual batteries - more sealed against juice leaks (not dependent on a threaded-end drag sensor), more control of your drag, won't turn on accidentally from wind or vibration, and I think less work.

If you are a heavy smoker, hard dragger, or need or want 6-8+ hour battery charge life, then look at Ego, Riva 510 and other fat-battery models which also let you use power hungry harder hitting LR (low resistance) parts
