Hi all, my name is Trina and I am new to the forum.
Looks like a great source of information and at the moment I am suffering from "information overload":(

I have been smoking for 40 years and am a 40+ a day Marlboro smoker. I have tried a few e-Cigarettes, but they don't seem to give me the "hit" I need to ease down, (and OFF), the Marlboro Reds.

Any suggestions for an ecig to try, that produces a lot of Vapour, (this seems to be the most satisfying part of smoking), and if possible comes close to the taste of Marlboro?
The problem being that Marlboro use "toasted" tobacco which has a pretty unique taste.
Oh and the final requirement is that I need to be able to get the product in the UK.
Not much to ask is it. :)

Well, do you happen to know what kind of e-cig you tried? I smoked Lucky Strikes, Pall Malls, and rollies, often without filters. So yeah, I know what you mean by "that hit."

If it was something like a super-mini - the ones that are actually the size of a cigarette - then I'm not surprised it wasn't enough for you. The smaller the e-cig, the less power it has.

Honestly, if both high vapor and strong throat hit are essential for you, I'd skip the cigarette-looking e-cigs all together and go straight for an eGo or a mod.

With the cigarette-like ones, the best you can do is the 510 and the Kr808D-1. The 510 doesn't tend to give as much throat hit, and the Kr808 doesn't tend to give as much vapor. I get more vapor from my Kr808 with juice that has some VG in it, but, really, if you can handle it not looking like a cigarette, go for something stronger.

Hello & welcome Mistree :)

A lot of members of my own forum are now using the RIVA & loving it. You can buy it in the UK from Cloud 9 vaping uk
RIVA 510 e-cig - Cloud 9 Vaping

Or Liberty -Flights :-

Electronic Cigarette - Starter Kits - Riva 510

As for a juice that tastes exactly like Marlboro, that's a bit more of a tricky one. But there are some good juices available from several good UK sellers.

When I received my first order from Heaven Gifts they included a 10ml bottle of Red MBL (I'm assuming that's Red Marlboro instead of Red Major League Baseball...) which tastes very good, but since I never smoked Marlboro I don't know if it's the flavor you are looking for.

However, a quick search on the Heaven Gifts site doesn't show that flavor as one they supply. (I don't know where they got the sample they sent me.) But they do have Marlboro and R Bull (I'm assuming that's Red Bull). Don't know if either of those are what you are looking for.

I think if you smoke 2 packs per day then you should consider one of the fat-battery versions of the most popular models, but you could use the slimmer version when you go out if you wanted.

Here is a good thread about the pros and cons of the two most popular slim models (a bit fatter than a cigarette and 110-120mm long so about as long as a 120 cig) Joye 510 (sold many places) vs KR808D-1 (KR8 also sold in colors at Vapor4Life and Bloogplanet)
http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/fo...st-electronic-cigarette-first-time-vaper.html

The biggest different is 510 comes as a cart+atty model. Carts need to be refilled much more often but cart and atty (atomizer) are more reusable (you may need to replace the cart stuffing, attys should be cleaned periodically and eventually die). The KR8 is a 2-piece model that uses prefilled or blank cartomizers (which you would be refilling). Cartomizers are a bit more work to fill but hold at least 2x the juices. I think Cartomizers give a warmer and more concentrated vapor and flavor. You need to refill them while they are still wet to get as many reuses as possible out of them. They are considered dispoable but you may get 1-15 reuses out of a carto until either the internal atty dies or the stuffing gets singed and makes it taste bad. Blank cartomizers are also available for the 510. One other difference - standard 510 vs standard KR8 - the KR8's battery lasts longer because being a 2-piece, more of its length is battery.

For each of those there are also fat battery models and that is something you might consider at least for at-home use because the batteries last a lot longer (like 5-8 hours vs 2-3 hours) and the fat battery ones optionally also let you use LR parts parts which draw more power but can provide a bigger hit if you need that. The most popular fat battery models of 510 are Ego and Riva 510. The fat battery version of KR808D-1 is Elegant Easy from CigEasy.

There are smaller e-cigs than 510 and KR808D-1 but anything smaller will be weak and rarely satisfies anyone for more than a month.

Re juices - no juice will taste/smell exactly like a cig because it's hard to duplicate burning leaves and paper + 4000 chemicals and toxins. But I think if you try a bunch or Marlboro-alikes and other tobacco juices (good juices, from US mixers with blended bases like 70pg/30vg or maybe 80pg/20vg - vg makes the vapor, pg lets through TH better) then you will find some with enough TH and something familiar enough in the aroma to satisfy you. For me one was FreedomSmokeUSA Desert Ship which is a slightly pungent Turkish blend, a bit nutty, and a smell reminiscent to me of a pack of smokes. That same company has lots of tobacco flavors in the Tobaccos section and some are also in the samplers section. Remember to let your nose get some of the vapor - most of flavor is aroma.

If you are smoking full strength Marlboros then try juices with 24mg nicotine but maybe get a bit of higher juice and a bit of lower because sometimes new vapers need higher to get started, and sometimes people vape more than they smoked or are getting bigger drags than they smoked and need lower.

And I recommend manual batteries so you have more control over your drag. With auto batteries, you would get a weak drag when the atomizer is cool etc. And some auto batteries can accidentally turn themselves on in wind or vibration.
