Hi, I am new to this site. Haven't started vaping yet. Need some advice on what is the best starter kit to buy. Been lurking around here for a couple of days and am quite confused.have some friends here in town that vape and she suggested " ElectronicStix.com". Was wondering if anyone on here has used them, and if so, how they rate. Need suggestions. I am a 37 yr smoker. Want to quit for myself, my husband, son, and grandchildren. Cannot do it cold turkey. I have anxiety and cold turkey just will not work for me. I am what you call a heavy smoker. At least 2 packs a day. Need something that will put out enough to satisfy me. There;s some suggestions in my sig link for quitting and devices. Personally I'd start w/ a cheapie 21st century kit from rite aid for $20 and see if you like it, then move on to the online stuff.

For example, would you trade compactness for better vapor production/ flavor/ throat hit, or do you want things that look like a cigarette so you would feel like youre smoking?

Budget constraint?

How comfortable are you with electronics? Can you tinker around with stuff or just want a use-and-toss unit?

Sorry, didn't explain completely. I have tried cheap ecigs and they did not put out enough, I could get one good draw, then would have to wait for awhile for another. That is why I stayed with analogs. Need something that if I take a draw I can take another one in a few seconds. Is there anything out there like that. Not really wanting something too big just yet. Nothing to bulky, but something that will get the job done. Thanks for any advice that you can give me

Sorry did not answer second part. Yes I am a tinkerer. Will work on almost anything. Does not bother me one bit to take something apart and figure out what is wrong with it. Do not want to go cheap, but nothing overly expensive to begin with. Could start out around $100.00. I know in the long run, it will save me thousands compared to analogs

I was a 2 pad smoker too for longer than your alive....I recommend the Kgo kit...2 batteries. a charger and delivery system...it got me off smokes and it can for you too..Good luck.

Lots of stuff out there like that but the problem is you have to sacrifice size for performance. You can get a battery and tank that lasts you the entire day chainvaping but it's gonna be pretty big - sharpie size or bigger. Your best bet might be a replaceable battery mod and carto tank / vivi nova. You could also get an ego twist or vision spinner battery but again they're pretty big - 1100 to 1300 mah size should last you the whole day or close to it btw.

I would go to a mall kiosk and try one of theirs, just to try it - DON'T BUY FROM THEM. If you then think it might work for you, since you are a 2 pack smoker, you definitely don't want one that looks like the real thing. That will just lead to disappointment and frustration.

You sound like you will want something that will simulate the "inhaled feel" of the real thing, last all day and be consistent.

Since the price of a good variable watt PV (personal vaporizer) have come way down, I would look to get one of those and learn how to use it by watching some videos and asking advice on ECF. They really are not complicated. I would start out using 510 cartomizers to put your eliquid in. There are many different options in cartomizers but I would just get some clear ones so you can see your liquid level and put more in when needed because you always want to keep them moist. I would definitely start out with 24mg nicotine strength eliquid. You can always lower the level of the nicotine easily if you need to, but you can't make it stronger. Models like the VAMO use removable batteries which cost less and last longer unlike the eGo type models where the batteries cost 2 - 3 times more. Here are some links and a review to consider:

I recommend getting a simple ego-C or ego-C twist with a few Kanger T3's or EVOD's. VapingMe.com usually has Kangers and Twists in a variety of colors. You could potentially get going for less than a carton of cigs and have your smoking habit washed down the drain! Best of luck to you!

I recommend getting a VAMO and a couple of Vivi Novas. They work if you chain vape. After that, look up how to rebuild them using stainless steel mesh. Once youre comfortable with all that, get an AGA-T+ for the best vaping experience.

I started with an ego starter kit, with 900 mah batt. and they last all day long but they have larger ones too now, vv is good and a pass thru so you can charge and vape at the same time is helpful also. Good Luck!

I can just tell you what worked for me. Currently I use a Vamo and have several different tanks. As others have said, the Vivi tanks are good. I've had good luck with the Vivi Vision tanks. The wick parts are easy to change out. If you don't have a local vape shop in your area, I would suggest you order several different flavors of e juice online so in case you don't like a few of them you still have other options. You will need an AW IMR 18650 battery for your Vamo and the Vamo has a standard 510 connection. I'm just explaining this stuff because I had no clue what most people were talking about at first.

Lots of good places. Many ppl here like Mt. Baker, Heather's Heavenly and Alice in Vapeland. Personally my fav was Velvet Vapors before I got into DIY which is the best thing I've done since making the switch.
