newbie question about batteries

Sorry this is a dumb question but I don't want to buy a new battery & THEN find this out. Can you charge Ego batteries with a Volcano charger? They're the same type batteries, just different brands. But I've read in different places that you can ruin your battery if you don't use the right charger so I wanted to ask. tyvm

Oh, & the battery charger I have is for the Volcano Inferno. The battery I'm getting is an Ego-T.

The only thing I ever remember reading is that you shouldn't use an ego charger to charge a standard 510 battery. Something about the ego chargers charge 3 times the rate and that exceeds the charge rate of a 510 battery.

Anyways, isn't the inferno a re-branded ego anyway? So it shouldn't matter.
