newbie question: does nic level affect throat hit and/or vapor production?

So I'm just coming back to vaping (yesterday was my frist day in a year without a cig), I bought a riva starter kit with both normal and LR attys, and three bottles of 14 mg juice, PG and VG. I am unimpressed with the vapor production and VERY unimpressed with the throat hit on my normal attys, and am finally sort of satisfied with the LR attys (I know that Riva kits tend to work at lower voltage, around the 3.1 area) on my riva. I know I can always upgrade to a high voltage mod, but I have had bad experiences in the past with mods dying after a month or less. I'm going to stick with the riva for now, especially since I bought a bunch of 306 lr attys...

So to my question...
Does nic level make a difference in throat hit and/or vapor production? will I find a reason to use my normal attys/cartos if I up the nic level? or is TH and vapor prod all a matter of device? I've been dripping on my LRs, but plan to use the normal res XL cartos I ordered while on the go. Should I up the nic level? or will that just get me nauseous quicker?

Thanks!

Aiden

Nic level can make a difference in TH, but not vapor production. The amount of PG and using the right kind of atty at the right voltage will increase TH as well. Only using more VG is going to help with vapor production. I'm not a big fan of hard TH, but I love big, swirling clouds of vapor. I use either a 50/50 or 60PG/40VG mix for my juice and right now I'm vaping 5V with a standard atty. Tons of flavors and vapor every time.

Nicotine definitely affects the TH, and in my opinion, the taste also. I was vaping 12-18mg and wanted a lower nic because I was vaping so much. I tried a 6 mg by the same maker & the same flavor, and I was disappointed. It just didn't taste the same. But also, I believe the makers of the liquid also have an effect on the TH & vapor. I have not yet tried VG, but where I get mine, the vapor is great. Maybe you should try a new maker before you go up on your nic. Good luck!

Yeah I just bought 60 ml from gourmetvapor dot com with triple flavor, 12 mg. Well see how that goes...

Thanks for the advice!
