Newbie question - what gauge should I try first?

I'm going to order some Kanthal wire and I don't want to order a metric ton to start because I have no idea if I'm capable of wrapping and sticking with it.

So, as a newbie with a Squape, and a target resistance in the range of 1-1.5 ohms what gauge of wire should I start off with? I'll be vaping on my trusty Infinity Pro which is VV and goes from 3.3V to 5.5V.

Honestly you should be fine with 28 gage Kanthal. It's not as springy as 30 or 32 gage and is pretty easy to build coils with. If I were to start with a particular gage it would be 28 gage IMO.

I'm with Wickedgt. It seems that 28g is easier to get right and it's easier to work with. I've been getting inconsistent readings using 32g. I use a calculator and go by what it says and never end up with the desired outcome . I'll become more experienced as time goes on, it's just gonna take time.
