Thanks sonicdsl. I was pretty much set on an ego, but the Vamo seems like a very good instrument. Doesn't seem all that complicated to me. Anyone else?
Just to be honest...I did ego and quickly moved onto the provari with a vivi nova tank. The battery lasts all day / night. You can certainly get a "blem" model, I can't even see the blem. It just works so much better than the egos...in the long run you would save money. People usually "graduate" to it, or set their sights on it....I spent 89.00 on two ego kits and I could have had a provari. It is reliable like none other. Vape tastes great. just no hassle. That's what interests me in the Vamo. Seems like a simple device. Long battery life. Easy operation. The tank would be another issue in & of itself, though the iclear 30 looks like it would work for me.
I think the VAMO is easy enough to use for a beginner if its size and weight is not an issue. However, make sure you read about battery safety before using your VAMO. Also read the VAMO user manual and make sure you keep your VAMO in RMS mode [NO 2] to avoid unexpected, nasty power surprises.
Pair the VAMO with Vivi Novas and/or Kanger T3s (a 510 to eGo adapter also needed) for an easy to use juice delivery device. Just tighten your juice delivery device enough to make a connection. Over tightening can cause issues.

Thank you peraspera. I know the dangers of li-ions pretty well. I was very interested in the t3, but I've found a lot of complaints about them leaking. Size is really not that much of an issue for me. Ideally, I'd like to have a tank that would hold enough juice for the whole day that won't leak.

I started with an ego, it was fine then got a provari, love it, also like the ego twist, you should for sure own one of those for a backup & when your out & about town. I take my twist out with me & use my Provari's at home. Also the T3's are a great juice delivery system.
Thanks calikimm. I guess I get a little bit troubled by seeing complaints of things. The Vamo would be with me most of the time though. I'll need the rig up a nice travel case for it. Lol
I only have one T3 and it has never leaked. Sometimes I wonder if complaints about T3s and Vivi Novas leaking are for shoddy counterfeit models. I got my T3 from Vapor Beast. I also got my standard-size Vision Vivi Novas and Boge Viva Novas from them. No leaks ever. The Boges are my favorite as they have a warmer vape than the bottom coil Kanger and they don't turn my juice to tasteless goo when the juice is about two thirds gone like the Visions do. Also, the price is good and the customer service is spectacular.
Yeah, I've been looking there. Seems like a nice business. That's probably where I'll order the Vamo & tank/tanks from.
started out 2 1/2yrs ago with the 510 batts then 510 xl batts ,then went to ego 650mah onto 1000mah and of coarse the all mighty provari 18650 by now you see the stuff that has gathered in the corner of the room , for me i was a heavy smoker 1-1 1/2 pak a day so i moved up because of battery life you need to see how you fit if your not that heavy of a smoker perhaps an ego may be the best fit at least to get you started and you dont have to buy an expensive kit just get a battery and charger and what ever you want to go on top or if the provari fits then set down and add up all the gear for that im rough on my stuff my provari has gone thru hell and back it is pretty much bullit proof but it is very pricey by the time i add the batts/charger ext cap so just weigh what is right for you or atleast something to get your feet wet to see if you will stick with vaping hope that helps
I smoke a pack or more a day of full flavor cigs right now. I've smoked for 20+ years. I've tried to quit many different way. I believe this is the way to go. I'm honestly thinking the Ego isn't going to be strong enough for me. That's what interests me about the vamo. The vape time if the 18650 battery is a big draw for me. I do understand & appreciate where you are coming from though. I just think if I go the ego route I'll be wasting money. Thank you williebb.
I also started with a eGo starter kit (2 650's and vision clearo's)....quickly moved to a 1000mah twist that i still use when going out, the 2 original ego batts get heavy use all day at work with smoketech dual coil mega carto's on them I work construction so i don't worry about messing them up they are the workhorse of the vape world....BUT when I get home and relax...I have my Vamo with a VV nova or a iclear 30...I love the twist with a nova on a lanyard when I go out to eat or shopping with the wife.
its good to have a cheap 3.7v batt for taking to work or whatever and good to have a nice PV when you get home to relax.
I get a solid 8 hours from my 650's and charge them every other night

I started with a 1000mah ego soon after I went to a ego variable volt used that say about 3 months and got a VAMO. I like both. The only drawback is when I am out and about the VAMO is a bit big and heavy aos I will carry my VV EGO. at home and work or if I am at somewhere for a bit I use the VAMO. the VAMO does give th ejuice a fuller flavor. I use my ce4's on all of my "firesticks" as my wife calls them.
If I go the ego route, I'll get a twist. I drive a truck. I'm more concerned about sturdyness and overall performance than anything else. Size is of little concern to me.

Pretty much set on the vamo now. If someone could steer me towards a good deal I'd sure appreciate it. If they happen to have the iclear 30 also, that wod be swell! 
Personally, If you can afford to, do both! I still use eGo's while my mainstay is the Vamo along with eGo-T Upgrade mods (same batteries). I find if I need to go stealth, or drip, the eGo-C batteries I started with work great! (Turned the eGo-C system into my dripping system..)
Again, depends on how long you want to wait for it. I know some folks are complaining about the "speed" of Vapor Break getting the product out, I've never had an issue with them and the Vamo is only $26.99 (more for SS) there...
