I've been vaping for years and right now i'm using an 650mAh ego battery on a CE4 clearo. It's not that one device is better than the other, each has it's pos/neg's. Although I have several VV mods (which I love), the ego is still a nice small, convenient and predictable device. Simply, it does what I need it do do. Enough said.

Nah! It's all good brother! Size really isn't that big of an issue for me. If someone would be kind enough to answer my battery question I'd.sure appreciate it.

Hi Frank,
This post has the batteries to use and links to where to get them - I think there may be a couple mentioned there out of stock but the post gives more than one option for 18650s and 18350s so some are available:

I'll probably be investing in an ego rig also.

If you decide to add an eGo style battery I would suggest giving the variable voltage 400 mAh Vision spinner paired with a mini Vision Viva Nova a try. The combo is small enough to be pocketable while giving you the advantage of variable voltage.

The VAMO will be more than enough to provide an extremely satisfying vape. However, something with a cigarette form factor can fill an important psychological need by mimicking the feel of a cigarette as well as the hand to mouth action.

You might want to pick up a disposable NJOY King at a convenience store to see if you find it a useful addition to your VAMO for times you most crave a cigarette. The KINGS look, feel and high nicotine punch (30 mg. or 45mg. most closely mimic smoking cigarettes. I credit starting with the cig-alike form factor as being a key psychological component in making it so easy for me to make a totally painless switch from smoking to vaping from my first vape. I still clutched my cig-alike like a life raft for a couple of weeks after I got my Twists.

The KINGS are obscenely expensive so aren't practical for exclusive use. However, if you find them to be a helpful addition to your VAMO you can come pretty close to the same experience with a rechargeable eRoll with some higher nicotine liquid. I bought my eRoll for out and about but I've been surprised at how often I grab it at home instead of one of my VAMOs, Twists or mechanical mod.

I don't know anything about the company but Smart Vapes has the iClear30's in stock.

yes I am happy to have my Variable EGO and Vamo. having lightweight portable vapestick is nice. Like when I am shopping with the wife or out and about. but I am very happy with the VAMO it has a better flavor to the vape and you can go to a shorter single battery on it also. Be sure to get the v2. I got my set up from varitube.com

Top post on vapor joes is a good deal on chrome Vamo if you haven't bought one yet: http://.........blogspot.com/

Sounds like you got plenty of good advice in the thread I would only mimic what others have said. I have both Vamo and eGo and still use the egos quite a bit depending on where I'm at. I find them to be a little more travel friendly, mainly due to size and weight.

A vamo and iclear30 will be killin' it though. That's a solid, low cost setup, that's going to basically have you vaping like champ.

Stainless is the way to go on the Vamo. I'll second what others have said. Buy a backup device, whether it be a Vamo or eGo or some other mod entirely.

I personally have had major issues with a Vamo. I bought a ProVari to avoid further issues and have been completely happy with it. I also bought a second Vamo and have had no further issues, and I use both every day.

I recommend that you do buy a Vamo, but also check out ProVari's and other extremely durable mods like the REO for the future. If you decide to stick with vaping, you can always upgrade later and still keep your Vamo as a backup device. That's the nice thing about vaping...you spend the money and actually end up having something other than a pile of cigarette butts to show for it. :)

You mentioned that you are a trucker, one of our other members left his ProVari on his tire and ran over it by accident with his dump truck. It still worked afterwards.

EDIT: I really recommend that if you can afford it, buy two Vamos.

I am about to enter into the vaping world. After much research I've narrowed my device choice, between a Vamo & an ego setup. I was just wondering if any of you gentlemen/ladies would advise wether or not the Vamo would be a good device for someone just getting into vaping. Thank you!

Be good if we could stick to what the OP asked about here.

Getting the v2 for sure. Debating stainless or not now. Lol

Hi Frank,
Stainless is a more durable casing I think, and less of a fingerprint magnet. I have a couple of chrome Vamos that are good. After three months heavy the chrome was slightly worn on the groove just below the fire button. Not really noticeable, but something that won't happen with stainless steel.
