Hello everyone,

I'm a relatively newbie (6 months or so) e-cig vapor... and I love them!

But I have 2 questions I need answered:

Here's my e-cig set-up:

. Joye EGO-C TWIST 1000mah Manual Switch Battery
. Vision Vivi Nova V2 Clearomizer tank System

1. I've had 2 batteries die on me recently... they no longer will take a charge. Is this normal? Do the batteries eventually wear out? And if so about how often do they need to be replaced?

2. I've also had 2 Clearomizer tank systems stop working. The coil doesn't heat up... no sizzle. I clean them regularly... is this too normal & if so how often will they need to be replaced?

Thanks in advance,
Rob

Genuine Joyetech should last more than 6 months. Are the joyetech brand or clones? The center pin may be depressed, you can try pulling it up around the edges with a toothpick or small screwdriver and see if it makes better contact w/your charger and charges.

But yes, all ego type batts are disposable eventually.

For the Vivi Nova, coils and wicks don't last forever. If you get a few weeks out of them you are doing well, even if cleaning and dryburning, or whatever maintenance program you are using.

Hopefully, you have more than one battery and clearomizer for backup?

Glad to hear you love vaping!

You might want to try out some bottom coil clearomizers next. Just for fun. Vivi Novas are top coils, give a nice warm vape, bottom coils the wick and coil are down toward bottom of clearomizer, mostly Kanger makes these, and people generally like them a lot.

Welcome to the forum, Rob, and glad you are being successful at vaping. I use Kanger Evod clearomizers with ego batteries and like them a lot.

My reasons are: 1. They work well and I get good flavor and vapor. 2. They are relatively inexpensive, about $5 or $6, and also the coils are inexpensive, a little over $1 each. When I choose my tanks, I also consider the cost of replacing the coils, so I can always have them on hand and change them out frequently if I need to.

The Evods are a bottom coil tank, and don't have those long wicks in the top. I had a tank with the top wicks, and it seemed to really use up my juice quickly.
