Hi all,

I've been searching for answers but I'm still a bit confused:

How often, or when do you know, that the T3S coil should be replaced?

Is it ok to use a 1.8olm replacement unit when using a Vision Spinner and Ego C 1000ohm?

I've seen a number of videos on how to clean the unit and replacing the wick but at this point, it's easier for me just to replace it. I happen to see a pack of replacement coils at a local B and M and picked them up. I realized when I got home that they were 1.8o and the ones in my T3S's were all 2.2o. I read in a couple of places that it's not good to use that low a resistance with higher watts.

Just about all the eliquid I use is at least 60-70PG/30-40VG.

Anyhow, I'm a confused newbie and appreciate any input.

Really it depends alot on where you like your performance of the clearomizer to be at. Over time the performance of the coil and wick will decrease, if your like me it wont really matter all that much. I generally clean mine whenever I start getting an off flavor from my juice.

1.8 ohms isn't that bad, just set your spinner to a little lower voltage (I don't know the increments). As far as your non-variable voltage ego c battery it should be fine, I believe non-variable voltage batteries are right at (or around) 3.7v if I'm correct. So I wouldn't really worry about that, when I'm using one of my ego-T batteries I generally like to have something that's a little lower in resistance like 1.8, the performance is pretty good.

I concur!
I use 1.8's all the time on purpose in my T3's, as I like the way that vapes with a non-VV Ego, which is still often my "on the road" setup.
You'll probably want to turn it down a couple notches from where you vape a 2.2, then turn it up til it's hitting good.
When to change? That varies - I've had some that for some reason didn't survive a cleaning - maybe running hot water actually broke the coil? I have some right now in use (knock on wood) that I've been using for a month, cleaning them every few fill-ups.
When it stops working, you swap it out!

I will agree with this and add that from what I've been reading a sweet spot for wattage is between 6-7 watts in most cases.

Figuring your wattage is not that hard. If you know and understand the math. Which is Watts = Volts squared / ohms. Or Watts = voltage times voltage then devided by ohms.
In your case (and I don't know what your voltage settings are on your spinner are) if you set the spinner at 3.3 volts and have the 1.8 ohm coil on it you will be getting 6.05 watts ( that would be 3.3 X 3.3 = 10.89 devide that by your 1.8 ohms and you get the 6.05). Which is a good place to start. If you want more vapor click it up a bit.

Ah. Thanks again. Much appreciated and I feel better about using the 1.8.

Now, if I can always remember to turn it upside down when removing the battery. Twice I've unscrewed the 'wrong' thing with the unit upright and spilled the juice.

As much as I've used bcc's I'm surprised this never happened to me  when I unscrew it from a battery I always grip it from the threading to make sure that it doesn't screw off instead.
