A bud of mine told me that I absolutely had to have one of those Kuro coil winders. So I went ahead and ordered one off of eBay, and I should have it in a few days.
But I noticed there are three versions. A 2mm, a 2.5mm, and a 3mm. I know that 1/8" is considered a good starting point, and that 3mm is just about 1/8". So I got the 3mm version.
And my question is....did I get the right one?
I have a Kanger Subtank Mini. I don't do sub-ohm, so I am shooting for between 1.5 and 2 ohms. I started out with 30g, but I now have a spool of 28g.
I understand that the resistance of the coil has more to do with the amount of wire and the number of turns, and not so much to do with the diameter of the coil.
I find that having a slightly larger diameter makes it easier for me to insert a Japanese cotton wick (which is what I prefer so far).
So....opinions, please? Should I have gotten a different size? What are the differences? So much to learn! HELP!
