Newbie requires help...what "tank" best suits a Provari?

Hi there veterans!

I am a newbie with a 'hand me down' Provari, please advice me what 'tank' or carto and e liquid suits it..... I totally have no idea but my friend who passed me the Provari said it was a good e-cig....n I am almost about to give up coz I keep getting a burning taste....

any advice is deeply appreciated

You might want to look at the Pro-V by Vaperfexion: The Pro-V It looks like it is a pretty good tank for a carto. I know several folks that rock the AGA-T+ on their provaris as well.

A burning taste can be the result of too little juice or too much voltage. Try starting the Provari at 3.5 volts or so and gradually work your way up. Once the wick is burned, it sometimes takes a while to go away if it ever does. What type of atomizer, cartomizer or tank are you using now? That will help us to give you some hints.

Right now, my favorites are carto tanks with single coil cartomizers, EVODS and the iClear 30.

Any 510 threaded delivery device will work on a provari, sounds like your either using too high V's or what you're using is already burnt.

E liquid choice is up to you, whatever flavor(s), pg/vg ratio, nic mg floats your boat.

My ProVari mini has the same A7 on it that is in your avatar right now (has an A7 mini on it in my avatar). So if you are getting a burned taste, you just need to learn how to use it. If that A7 still has the original coil & wick set the voltage between 3.4-3.8v depending on the flavor you have in it.

Hahaha, I been trying different ways eg, tilting it when vaping, sometimes it works n sometimes not..... I laugh at myself for being a newbie..... But I am thankful for the advices, at least all your answered are direct and simple for a newbie to understand. Thanks!

Isn't there a tank called "Prive-Varadero" by kir fanis that was designed specifically for the provari.
I don't know if it's any good or not though. But it looks great.

first try the cheap tanks then work yourself up. try to get the right juice blend for you. everything comes after. i started with a clearo but the e-juice was not to my liking. got a hand on a mewlew e-juice i was happy with it. now i got myself a vamo with a cheap tank. im looking forward to purchasing a provari.

The mini first came out as a V2., and the word mini replaces the "I" in the name.

With the V2.5 the logo is engraved rather than etched, and "mini" is a separate word.
The wavy lines are on the full sized ProVari, the mini still has teardrops, but the layout is a little different.

V1 & V2 full sized Provari's had the vertical lines. The V2.5 is only a cosmetic change. Nothing on the inside was changed. The V1 had a 2.5 amp limit, and the V2 has a 3.5 amp limit.

My first mod is the Provari Mini v2.5 and I ordered it with the vivi nova and it works for me, but I think it's ugly. I'm looking at the tanks @ Vaperfexion (mentioned earlier). If I'm not mistaken, they are a supplier on here now.

Hello, okleemat. You have been given good advice with regard to the e juice delivery device's coil resistance rating and the voltage setting. As mentioned, start at a lower voltage setting and adjust up to tune it and vice versa. Also, a properly filled juice delivery device makes all the difference in the world between a great vaping experience and a very poor one.

Having tried many e juice delivery devices, I prefer cartotanks, particularly on my provari. RBAs are excellent. However, that is a different topic for a different discussion.

Currently, I have cartotanks, which range from $25.00 to $80.00. The $80.00 cartotanks work and taste no better or worst than the $25.00 cartotanks. They are simply much fancier looking. There are variables, such as the type of e juice and cartomizer, which is used. Again, that is a different topic for a different discussion.

The best cartotank, which I use, when you consider the value, quality of build, and vendor customer service, is the IBTanked tanks. For some $25.00, you get a complete cartotank, complete with a Pyrex tube, stainless steel bottom and top caps ( with extra O-rings), and a pre-punched cartomizer. The IBTanked tanks are my everyday go to e juice delivery device. They work perfect on my Joyetech ego-c twist, as well.
