Newbie saying hello

Hi Everyone, just introducing myself to this fab forum.
I have been a smoker for 33 years rolling tobacco for the last 20 years heavily with no filters.steadily watching my health go down the drain and taking 3-4 weeks to fight off the smallest colds flu etc.
Last week i fell on this forum after trying a friends disposable ecig from our local bar and,wanted to find out more.
My v2 starter kit arrived yesterday morning with a couple of extra flavours menthol and chocolate 18mg`s,I wasnt expecting too much just curious to try it.
I cant believe it although its early early days I left half a bag of tobacco and papers and lighter in the draw next to me and have not touched it yet, just washed out the ash tray and not told my daughter or girlfriend what i am trying to do.
I know its not exactly 24 hours yet 17 hours to be precise lol but i feel this could be start of my new life no ciggies ever again is this possible ???
I am feeling really positive here and although I wouldnt normally post on a forum I really wanted to thank everyone on here for the kick up the rear I needed to change my life.
I am now off to read about new flavours and other litle bits and pieces and faster suppliers to France as this kit took a while to arrive from the uk to here and thats a worry as i need to stock up I think on flavours batteries etc.
Apart from that thanks a million again and lovely to finally say hello to you all.

I too started with a V2 ecig kit and they are a great entry system for some and I personally found that I needed something bigger soon after purchase. After charging the batteries at least 2-3 times per day, based on the amount I was vaping to crave the urges to smoke, I quickly started looking for something bigger and better for me.

Well I did it!! through the weekend without a cigarette.
Had friends round last night and I stood up half way through the night to head to the front door like i normally did with a cig but then realized I am vaping so i just stood up from the table and started lol,and they all looked at me weird and wanted to know more about what the hell I was doing,they were more surprised that I hadn't had a cigarette for nearly 2 days after seeing one in my mouth constantly for the last 4 years lol.
After nearly 48 hours of new vaping I have noticed I prefer the manual battery on the v2 cig though ( BETTER HIT)and also my flu and bad cough I had for over 2 weeks have nearly gone not putting that down to the vaping though.
I was due to the doctor this morning for antibiotics but not sure what to tell him now as the symptoms I had on Friday have all but disappeared.
I am really positive here that I can carry on with this I am also trying tea in the morning today instead of really strong coffee for the first time in years, and can actually taste the flavour a little, before it just tasted like hot milky water.
Looking forward to smelling and tasting things I forgot about and actually feel like going for a good long walk today, hope the batteries hold out lol.

Hi Andy,
glad to hear its going well. I coughed every day for 3 months before I got into vaping. When I started vaping my cough cleared up in a few days.

Congrats and best of luck on quitting the smoking habit. STAY WITH IT! You can do it!

I'm a newbie as well. Hubby and I went to a party Saturday night and saw people we haven't seen in a few months. We were smokers the last time we saw them. I think we've recruited a few! So satisfying.

I think I enjoy recruiting as much as I do vaping!
