Just thought I would pop in and say hello. I have been reading and re-reading and will keep reading. After smoking for more than 30 years it was def. time to quit that stuff. However, I really like my eGo style ecig and have not lit a cigarette for 2 weeks already with no difficulty. Right now I am perfectly content with my old fashioned eGo and have no plans to change. But a year ago I had no plans to quit smoking either, so we shall see. Please keep posting the great info that you all are posting. Some of us are quietly learning more each day.

Thank you
Tiffani

Congrats on the 2 weeks!!! I am also a newbie vaper and I am currently at 3 days!

In the past week I have found this community to be extremely welcoming and supportive.

Good luck!
Congrats on your quit too. I have found so much information and positivity on these boards. My hubby is also starting this journey with me and I keep giving him info I find on here.

Hello, welcome & well done @teemae

If you are happy with your ego style e-cig, then stick with it :) It really isn't that long ago that everyone was recommending the ego :)
Thank you. I wasn't a super heavy smoker and really am happy with what I have going now, with the plus being that they are getting cheaper and cheaper as I look around because everybody is going different directions. But they are working for me and if it ain't broke don't fix it right?

Welcome all of you newbies and way to go for wanting to give up the smokes. I smoked for 40+ years, 1 - 1 1/2 PAD, and have been vaping only for 2 years this coming January 14th. Quitting was never possible for me until I discovered vaping.

I still use my original JoyeTech slim pen type set-up, my eGo 1100mAh batteries and clearomizers, and also an iTaste MVP 2.0 box mod.

Whatever "does the trick" for you..stay with it if it's working. That's what's most important!

Oh Congrats on the 2 years upcoming!!! I was so unable to quit smoking before that my husband was ready to pack and leave last time I tried. Now I have him tip toeing into vaping just seeing how well it is working for me!

@teemae - Thanks for the congrats. Quitting smoking is the best thing I've ever done...for myself. It's also the ONLY thing I ever wanted to do, that I couldn't. Vaping truly has changed my life. Now I wish that same feeling for other smokers...who've always wanted to quit, but couldn't. Makes me want to put up a flashing billboard somewhere, to tell them to try vaping, because it really does work!

Get your husband on the bandwagon, too, especially since he's already tip-toeing into it. :)

Hi TeeMae! Congrats on quitting, and welcome to ECF! Glad you found a setup that works for ya! North Iowa is not very Vape Friendly for supplies! I spend a lot of time in Mason City, Forest City, and Albert Lea MN. Have yet to see a vape shop that I can recall. But I've met a few vapers! Go Hawkeyes!!

The hubby has a few packs of stinkies he bought in a cheap state that he is bound and determined to finish up probably this week. But he has some supplies with him filled up and charged up, so he is smoking less than usual. He will be fully on the bandwagon in very short order!
