I bought an NPro (RN4081) on Sunday and spent the last few days working on getting it down, and it has been really hit or miss for me. I finally figured out a long slow draw frequently gives you a good hit, but not always. Sometimes it isn't a hard enough draw and I get nothing. Sometimes maybe too hard and I get nothing. The tip blinks all the time and the cutoff is just making me crazy.

Maybe this things works for some people. Heck, it worked for me for almost half a day yesterday and I really thought I had it all figured out. But the smoking experience is more of a pain in the .... than it is the enjoyable break from work I am looking for.

So in anticipation of wanting something better, I ordered a Yeti 510 on Monday after reading this forum all day, and I already got it in the mail today. With manual batteries. Forget about it. Anybody want to buy an NPro? The 510 with manual batteries is about 72x better than the NPro. There is no more inconsistency. There is no more guessing on how hard to draw from one puff to the next, or one cartridge to the next. There is no more wondering if my atomizer is clogged, or doesn't have enough juice on it, or whatever.

The 510 hits extremely well, always, everytime, constantly, without fail. I am simply in love with this Yeti, and now understand that this can actually be a pleasure rather than a constant adventure.

I will keep the RN4081 for dripping once I finally get my Johnson Creek juices. And if I blow out the atomizer because I do it wrong, or if it leaks into the battery because I do it wrong, I will not care.

Thanks to this forum... thanks a million... I am happy now.
:)

Haha great choice, you will be very happy. The yeti atomisers are super durable and last a pretty long time. The charger has a barrel connect for 12v on the side I stole the cable off my radar detector and works great for charging in the car. If it has the cig connector and the barrel plug fits should work fine. I gave all my other e cigs away and have 2 510/dura kits that is all I use fulltime now. There are some tweak mods you can do to the cart that help alot also. Good luck and welcome aboard the 510 train hehe.

My car has a normal electrical outlet so I can plug anything in there. But I just looked at the charger and there is a little hole on the side that says something about "DC in" and "12v" so that is good to know in case I need to know it.

I'm a newbie that has been using a Yeti for about three days now. After a little learning/breaking in, it's working great. One thing I don't like is the taste. I have tried several flavors in the Yeti and my Red Dragon side by side, and they just taste so different. The Red Dragon doesn't produce quite as much vapor, but it's really smooth and flavorfull compared to the Yeti while still producing enough vapor to satisfy this 2+ pack a day smoker. I should add, less than half a pack a day since I started vaping, and hopefully it will be 0 soon.

I hope you have manual batteries.

At first I thought I didn't want a button I had to push.
At first I thought I wanted something that looks like a real cigarette.

I'm glad I'm a fast learner though.

Going forward I will never again buy anything that does not have manual batteries.
In a matter of hours the mere idea of it has become almost absurd to me.

I got the manual battery, it's a very nice device, and I'm sure it's working properly, but the Yeti just loses something along the way in taste. I probably wouldn't know the difference if I didn't have the E9 to use side by side with the same juice.
I guess I should be glad I don't know the difference.
I am still smoking starter kit juices.
:D

My Johnson Creek is in the mail though:
-Tennesse Cured
-Kona Coffee
-Vanilla Ice Cream

I'll just have to pretend that it can't possibly get any better.

I had low flavor problems also, I've found that sometimes the factory carts are stuff with too much fuzz and dosen't let the flavor come through. For a test run take the polly filler out of the cart throw half of it away and put it back in very loose. Make sure you put enough in so it can hold juice though and make sure a tiny little air pocket is behind the fuzz not much just abit. This has helped out alot on flavor for me. I change out my fuzz once sometimes twice a day for this reason. Once the fibers are matted and compressed its toast and worthless. There are cart mods that help abit too Kreel's straw mod is the easiest and works great. There are pinhole mods also if ur into tweakin stuff out like me hehe. Old crappy compacted polly cart filler stuffed too tight has been the nemesis of my vaping experience till i got the method down that works for me.

I'm not even going to try anything else! I love my manual 510 too much. It's only my second ecig and I'm sticking with it. My first was an 801...NO comparison! The 510 is consistant, well made and I can count on it actually working! People complain about the battery life, but heck, it only takes an hour to charge so there is no problem having one ready to go when one dies. LOVE IT!!:D

i also started on the 510 and im loving it
you may also want to start looking into different material to fill your carts, i have found that i like the teabag filters the most i do admit i have to refine my pollyfill technique but im put down by the many little fibers that i have to keep pulling out of my atomizer, 1 or 2 fibers every time i check my atomizer.
but it all comes down to personal preference
