Hi again. I bought a Halo 510 sample kit as my first experiment. I was an extremely light smoker (just a couple ultra lites most days).

So I bought the 6mg sampler as I assumed the lighter the better. For reference a Marlboro light menthol is too strong for me and a Marlboro menthol ultra lite (silver) is just perfect. I really never liked the taste of tobacco so I am looking for some sort of minty taste.

I wasn't wild about the taste of any of the Halo 6 mg. flavors I could barely taste them over a slight rubbery flavor.

But I'm sticking with this anyway and no smokes since I got the kit Friday. I ordered the next strength up (12 mg) in every menthol flavor Halo has. I'm hoping that helps along with I replaced my auto batteries with manual for better control.

But here is really my question - I always thought that nicotine was technically tasteless. Will the stronger nic flavors taste any different? Is there a direct relationship between nic level and the satisfying stronger taste?

Thanks again you all I'm not sure I would have ever figured any of this stuff our without a forum!

I'm really satisfied with Halo so far and I like their fast shipping and USA made juices but if anybody has an idea for a satisfying (lower nic the better) minty or menthol tasting juice I'd be glad to hear about it, especially if its a US manufacturer. Nothing against the Chinese I just trust my life to a US supplier better, especially since these aren't regulated yet in either country.

I know there are people who can give you a much better answer than I can- but here is my 2cents.

At first, when we got 2 of the same flavor in different nic levels, I couldn't tell a difference at all. But this doesn't seem to be the case for all liquids. Mostly it is the throat-hit that I notice is different, not the actual flavor.

I hope someone has a more definitive answer for you, but in my experience the flavor itself is rarely changed, just the TH and that subtle satisfaction level.

Hello and welcome. I'm a Noob too, only 4 months in but from the little I know the nic will add a bit of peppery flavor. Not terribly strong though. The higher nic will give you more TH also. To me it's much more satisfying.
As far as better flavors, it's all subjective.. What some like others don't. I'd suggest buying small samples from several other vendors as well as trying some other flavors you might normally shy away from. You just might be supprised what flavors you love. Good Luck!
